BENEFITS OF OIL CONDITION MONITORING

By using Shell LubeAnalyst customers are able to

Monitor lubricant and equipment condition, getting early warning of any problems and increasing equipment availability

Identify contaminants to the lubricant, monitor levels and address sources (e.g. fuel, water, dirt etc)

Identify metal particles in oil samples, highlighting operational problems or component wear

Optimise lubricant life – informing oil management practices and extending oil drains within safe limits

Improve maintenance scheduling and predict part replacement

Reduce the risk of breakdowns and unplanned downtime, especially for critical equipment

Identify improvement opportunities within and between sites by benchmarking lubricant management

HOW SHELL LUBEANALYST WORKS

Shell LubeAnalyst operates through a single

multi-lingual website and a network of professional

regional laboratories

1. Customer registers equipment on the Shell LubeAnalyst website

2. Customer takes used oil sample and sends to lab with sample slip

3. Lab analyses the sample and inputs the results into the Shell LubeAnalyst Expert System

4. The Expert System compares the results with the condemnation limits set based on Shell’s lubricants expertise

5. Shell LubeAnalyst generates the diagnosis and recommendation report

6. Report is available to the customer vai the LubeAnalyst website and by email
