2.7 million crimes are committed at schools Students’ ages 12 through 18 were more
likely to be victims of nonfatal violent crimes such as rape, sexual assault, robbery and aggravated assault. The total crimes committed in schools to this age group are 253,000.
Teachers are the victims of over 400,000 violent crimes each year.
