7 Wiring• Takethebatterywireforthisunitdirectlyfromthe
battery.Ifit'sconnectedtothevehicle’swiringharness,itcancauseblownfusesetc.
• Ifabuzzingnoiseisheardfromthespeakerswhentheengineisrunning,connectalinenoisefilter(optional)toeachofthebatterywire.
• DonotallowthewiretodirectlycontacttheedgeoftheironplatebyusingGrommets.
• Connectthegroundwiretoametalpartofthecarchassisthatactsasanelectricalgroundpassingelectricitytothebattery‘snegative·terminal.Donotturnthepoweronifthegroundwireisnotconnected.
• Besuretoinstallaprotectivefuseinthepowercordnearthebattery.Theprotectivefuseshouldbethesamecapacityastheunit’sfusecapacityorsomewhatlarger.
• Forthepowercordandground,useavehicletype(fireproof )powerwringcord.(Useapowerwiringcordwiththerangeof5mm²(AWG10)ormore.)
• Whenmorethanonepoweramplifieraregoingtobeused,useapowersupplywiringwireandprotectivefuseofgreatercurrent-handlingcapacitythanthetotalmaximumcurrentdrawnbyeachamplifier.
7 Speaker selection• Useofspeakershavinginputpowerratingsthatareless
thantheoutputpoweroftheamplifierwillcausesmoketobeemittedaswellasdamage.
• Theimpedanceofthespeakersthataregoingtobeconnectedshouldbe2Ωorgreater(forstereoconnections,amplifierSUB),or4Ωorgreater(forbridgedconnections).Whenmorethanonesetofspeakersaregoingtobeused,calculatethecombinedimpedanceofthespeakersandthenconnectsuitablespeakerstotheamplifier.<Example>
