Arts Spring Festival than at one of the top 10 art

museums in Florida? The Polk Museum of Art, an

affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, houses an

impressive permanent collection encompassing

everything from contemporary abstract to Pre-

Columbian pieces.

Mothers Day weekend, May 12 - 13 from 9am to

4pm, Polk Museum of Art presents the highly

anticipated 41st annual MIDFLORIDA Mayfaire

By-the-Lake Art Festival on the shores of beautiful

Visitors to Bok Tower Gardens can enjoy the beauty

of this National Historic Landmark's impressive

Tower Gardens. The paintings have been masterfully

created by members of the Central FloridaWatercolor Society, and the exhibit runs from March

31 - May 31. Music lovers also won't want to miss

"Concert Under the Stars", taking place on May 5

and featuring the celebrated Celtic band, Solas, as

well as the Frank Vignola Quintet.

In addition, three special exhibitions will be shown

for the festival, including "From the Flat

Files" (March 3 - May 26), "3-D" (April 28 - August

18), and "Albert Paley: Sketches & Steel" (March 31

- June 23). The museum also offers free Family Fun

Workshops every Saturday, so everyone in your

family can exercise their creativity under the

direction of experienced educators!

orchestra, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra (ISO), is

putting a magical spin on their contribution to theHeart of the Arts Spring Festival with a concert that

adults and children alike will love! On May 1, ISO

presents "Magic at the Symphony", featuring

enchanting selections from Lord of the Rings, Harry

Potter and The Deathly Hallows, and a number of

haunting classics such as Mussorgsky's Night On Bald

Mountain.
