later she forgot these stories. Help her to remind them. These strips are for you. Work in groups and arrange the sentences into a logical order. Then read your stories.

Group IOne day a woman went shopping to the market with her little son.

Soon they came to a man who was selling cherries.

The man liked the small boy and said:

“Well, my little man, take a handful of cherries”The boy went to the basket, but he didn’t take any berry.“Don’t you like berries?” the man asked.“Yes I do”, said the boy.The man took a big handful of cherries and gave them to the boy.“Thank you “, said the boy and took the cherries quickly.

“Bobby,” said the mother on the way home,”why don’t you take cherries?”“Because the man’s hand was bigger than mine”.

Group IIOnce my mother asked me to go to the market to do some shopping.

She gave me a shopping list.

I had to buy sugar, milk, salt, tomatoes and apples. On my way to the market I lost my shopping list.

I didn’t know what to do.I didn’t want to return home, so I decided to buy all necessary things. I bought a big chocolate cake, a bottle of Coca-Cola, some sweets, and some bananas. On my way home I was proud of myself.

But to my surprise my mother didn’t like my purchases.

I was punished. Why?

Group IIIA small boy came to the man, who was selling sweets and biscuits.

He was standing near an open box of sweet biscuits.

“Well, my boy,” said the man “what are you up to?”.

“Nothing,” answered the boy.“Nothing? Well it looks as if you were trying to take a biscuit.”“You are wrong, mister. I’m trying not to”.

Students read their stories. The teacher controls groups with the help of the questions, given by students of each group. - Where did the woman and her little son go one day? - Why didn’t Bobby take any cherries? - Did mother give the boy a shopping list or not? - What did the boy do with the shopping list?
