The 4th Engineering Leader's Congress entitled "Engineering Student Leaders: Engage” aims to help the student leaders engage with the upcoming activities and advocacies for the upcoming academic year and embody the Thomasian Engineering pride. The activities and seminars intend to give useful knowledge and experiences that will contribute to the development of the students' leadership abilities and potentials. Also, at the end of the congress, delegates from different organizations are expected to build a sense of comradeship, unity and solidarity to work as a team in serving the student body throughout the school year.
O B J E C T I V E S
Greetings to all the participants of the 4th Engineering Leaders' Congress (ELC)!
After being DAREd, we stepped forward and SHOUTed OUT. Now, it’s time to fully
ENGAGE and commit ourselves in doing what we ought to do as responsible, faithful
and passionate Thomasian Engineering leaders as we welcome the NeoCentennial
Age.
ENGAGE. It’s actually a big word. When you engage, you commit, you captivate, you
engross. At the same time, to engage also means to bring together and to activate. As
this year’s advocacy, let us perceive this coming academic year as an opportunity to
engage and bring together what we can for the betterment of the Thomasian
Engineering community. As we start another year to count for another century of
unending grace, let us step up together and stretch our limits. Be programmed as
starters of efficient mechanism for growth and progress as we boost our each and own
potential energies into moving speeds. Let us welcome this year with electrifying thrill,
passion, and hunger for excellence and never forget our integrals and values at the
same time. This Engineering Leaders' Congress will be YOUR chance to fully engage
and be part in taking the challenges of our new age as we take the challenge of
being a dedicated student leader. Bear in mind that our biggest responsibility as
student leaders is the pursuit of our goals. We work hard for the realizations of what we
have envisioned for our fellow Thomasian Engineers to be part of. But as we go further,
the next big challenge is to recognize ours as a well-constructed and well-established
body which serves its purpose admirably. After all, it is for the Thomasian Engineering
community’s welfare that we exist and they always deserve the best. For them, we
lead and we serve.
Hopefully, this academic year, it’s all about ENGAGEment! Let us all work together for
these goals and ENGAGE as we, student leaders of the Faculty of Engineering aspire for
ENG-AGE!.
To aspire and to inspire.
To inform and to empower.
To break new grounds and to reach new heights.
Even more...
To ENGAGE.
The Age of Engineering the NeoCentennial Generation. ENGAGE!
Congratulations for having the courage to step up and represent your organization for
this year's ELC! Let us keep in mind that serving comes with compassionate heart,
competent attitude and committed soul. Godspeed to everyone of us!

Engineering student Leaders are at the forefront of the
effort to create an environment that will help transform the Engineering
students into a total person – a person with a critical and creative mind; a
compassionate heart; and a fit body that is ready and able to do the work
of God.
As leaders with critical and creative minds, you are able to
initiate innovative activities that will help hone the mental skills of the
students by holding seminars, lectures, symposia, panel discussions on
significant issues and trends in the industry. You conduct community service
activities that give students opportunities to serve the community. You
different forms of competitions, student gatherings and festivals that help
develop the values and attitudes of the Engineering students.
You can, indeed become, catalysts of transformation in
your Faculty. You have the power to move people, the power to influence
decisions, the power to rally the students to great cause of service to the
community, the nation and the church.
As young Thomasian leaders, let Faith, Hope and Love be
the roots your leadership. Let these theological virtues come alive in your
activities. Have great faith in God and others. Be beacons of hope. Be
sharers of God’s love.
More power to you.

This year's Engineering Student Council wants YOU! They want you to take a more
active role in the student affairs of the Faculty of Engineering. In 2009, ESC had you as
their BIDA. The next year, ESC had to DARE you. Last year, you were encouraged to
SHOUT OUT! This time: ENGAGE!
It is time to go FULL BLAST... time to release all your energy, power and might. It is a call
to a more dynamic Engineering studentry. And YOU, the Engineering student leaders
will lead the ulitmate engagement of the whole studentry.
This is the Engineering Neo-Centennial Generation. This is the coming of age of this
generation - right at the very start. Let's go, Engineering leaders, to infinity and beyond!

M S . W E N N I E L Y N F A J I L A N Greetings to all Engineering Leaders!
In behalf of the ESC, I welcome you to the Engineering Leaders Congress 2012.
As we walk towards the first year of the neo –centennial era of the University, new
challenges await us. Corruption, poverty, environmental degradation and digital divide
among others are just some of the societal challenges that the Thomasians face amidst
the usual difficult academic requirements of an Engineering education.
As leaders you play an important role in facing this generation’s call of the times. Every
leader is a motivator of her organization. Every leader has the opportunity to make
university life meaningful and enjoyable that’s why the Engineering Student Council
2012-2013 engages you into this annual leadership congress. Through this convention,
your leadership skills will be supplemented by seminars, workshops and team building
activities to better prepare you in leading the Engineering community towards a new
age of competent, committed and compassionate educational experience.
Get ready to engage!
