Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM celebrated its 4th anniversary on 19th January, 2015 with the theme Khushi in Conference Hall, Shantivan Complex of the Brahma Kumaris in Abu Road. Radio Madhuban started its journey in 2011 with a small recording studio and meek facilities. Since then, the station has grown and a lot of local people from the community have joined as volunteers to help in achieving our aim of social development and community upliftment. As a community radio station licensed under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Radio Madhuban is proud to serve the local society with dedicated and earnest efforts. Radio Madhuban is thankful to the kind support of the ministry from time to time in developing our infrastructure and helping us reach our objectives. In these four years of journey, Radio Madhuban has not only become a name in almost every household but has also gathered support of the community to bring about a positive social change in the community. Its presence has now merged with the local life and it is very close to becoming a radio station of the community, by the community and for the community. The 4th anniversary celebrations were an accolade to all the community people who have made this progress possible with their sheer commitment and charging enthusiasm. On this occasion, Shri Debabrat Das, Joint Secretary Planning Commission was the chief guest and famous Bollywood Singer Hamsika Iyer was the special guest. Several other dignitaries including Shri Manohar Vishnoi, BDO, Abu Road, Shri Suresh Thinger, Municipal Chairman, Mt. Abu and Honorable Justice V. Eswaraiah, Chairperson of National Commission for Backward Classes along with B K Karuna, Director, Radio Madhuban, B K Ramesh Shah, Secretary, RMCS, B K Dr. Nirmala, Director, Academy for a Better World, B K Harilal, Executive Director, Godlywood Studio, B K Asha, Director, Om Shanti Retreat Center, Delhi graced the occasion.

Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM celebrated its 4th anniversary on 19th January, 2015 with the theme Khushi in Conference Hall, Shantivan Complex of the Brahma Kumaris in Abu Road.

Radio Madhuban 4th Anniversary NewsThe culturals were performed by local Govt. schools and college students. A group of youth who are learners of musical instrument performed musical fusion with different instruments. It was a new beginning for them to form a group and perform on such a big stage.

As a part of its 4th Annual Day celebrations Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM organized different competitions in the local community. ‘Just a minute competition’ was organized to foster love among senior citizens of the community. The topic for this speech competition was Mera Bharat Mahan. Durgh Singh of Karoli won the first prize while Shiv Singh of Kivarli bagged the second prize and Tarachand of Tartoli took third prize. Farming being the main source of income in the local, Radio Madhuban organized a quiz competition on Indian Farming Techniques for farmers. The winners were Surmaram Garasiya of Kyara, Prakash Bhimji Banzara from Pandur, Bhuraram of Mudarla won the 1st 2nd 3rd positions respectively. Mr. Suresh Thinger, Municipal Chairman, Mt. Abu honored all the winners.

Radio Madhuban also organized a Radio Jockey Talent Hunt Competition for the college students. The competition went through several rounds and the winners were awarded on the 4th Annual day celebration by the special guest Hamsika Iyer, famous Bollywood singer. The RJ of the Event was Komal Jain of Nursing College, Suresh Kumar Purohit from Tejendr Prasad, BSTC College and Asha Goswami of Tejendr Prasad, B. Ed College were the runner-up respectively.

Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM recognized the contribution of eight special people of local community in the region. Like last year, Radio Madhuban awarded the ‘Ashta Ratan’ trophies to acknowledge and encourage the community. The efforts of a shopkeeper from Amthala, Shri Ambalal to promote sustainable development in the region, the immense contribution of a freedom fighter Shri Sohanlal Sangya for eliminating social evils from the community and the work of Shri Amrut Singh Rao for promoting education in the region were given special recognition. Shri Madhav Singh Rao and Shri E. Pari’s contribution for preserving the environment and the work of NGO Hunar Ghar to promote moral values was also acknowledged. Shri Kailash Chand Jinger’s efforts for social service and the enormous encouragement of Shri Prem Shankar Pandya to promote sports in the region were also recognized. Radio Madhuban hopes that this award will go a long way in promoting and encouraging these people to continue to work and strive for even more progress in Abu Road. The guests present gave away the certificates to all the eight winners and congratulated them for their efforts.

Radio Madhuban called all those loyal listeners present in the celebrations on the stage and appreciated them for being with RM in this long journey of spreading smiles in the community.

Release of Annual Report and CDs

To attract the local masses and to give glimpse of knowledge RM has put up the stalls of Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, De Addiction and Radio Madhuban. A message wall was also put up at the entrance to write beautiful messages and their experience about radio.

Over 1500 people enjoyed the celebrations and around 200 listeners travelled from long distances to see those faces whom they otherwise were listening on radio every day. They took part in the celebrations till the end. The entire programme was covered live on Radio Madhuban & Peace of Mind TV Channel. Those who could not be part of the celebrations enjoyed listening live on radio and sent messages in the studio.

I was a reporter of Dainik Bhaskar so I am in association with RM and give local updates to the listeners. I request the management of RM in the development of Mt. Abu and its tourism. I feel very great and honored for being invited as chief guest for the annual day celebrations of Radio Madhuban. Radio is a good medium to reach interior areas of India to spread the message and work on development areas. I am very happy to know that Radio Madhuban is broadcasting variety of programs covering all the age groups and every sect of the society. I feel this kind of ventures can bring change in the society and they should be established everywhere in India to see the real development.

With all your support and help RM is celebrating now 4th anniversary. Though entertainment, information, education are the main focus, along with that it gives platform for the local talent and entertains them. I am so happy that RM has started with a simple setup in a small village but now it is one among the top radio stations in the nation. It has won many awards. All this could happen with your support. There was a time where radio was losing its craze but everyone felt that there will be only TV but when FM stations were introduced radio again got its place in everyone’s life.

Radio is such a cheapest medium which everyone can afford. It reaches every corner of the nation and development can happen through this. Because radio along with entertainment spreads happiness and education. Such kind of ventures should be open everywhere.
