MARPOL RECEPTION FACILITIES

The purpose of deslopping is mainly for preparation for dry-docking, emergencyrepairs or surveys, to maximise cargo capacity, change of grades etc. Vesselsproceeding for dry docking may have considerable volume of slops and wash waterto discharge and hence vessel with adequate capacity with operational limits havebeen allocated to suit customer requirements. Being effectively administeredanchorages, Fujairah and Khorfakkan Port Authorities permit deslopping along withother marine services and hence become preferred locations for Fairdeal to offerdeslopping. The deslopping service is fully supported by properly licensed bargesfor collection of slops, Slop processor and a mother vessel in total compliance withrequirements of respective Port Authorities.

Fairdeal has been operating deslopping services for more than 30 years as partof antipollution services, supported by our fully fledged oil spill responsecapability, recognised by major environmental bodies and P&I clubs. The round-the-clock service of deslopping is coordinated by the office inside Fujairah Port.All parties are fully advised of the calling requirements and sufficient noticewould be desirable for efficient turn around.

MARINE OIL POLLUTION PREVENTION ACTIVITIES


HUSBANDRY - AGENCY SERVICESOur Agency division was established in order to service requirements ofour managed fleet. This in-house service greatly assisted theperformance of our managed vessels. Our experience in agency workenabled us to extend our services to third party vessels calling at Fujairahand Khorfakkan.

Services included, but not limited to:

• Act as agent for vessels calling Fujairah and Khorfakkan, which ismandatory for any vessel to enter into the offshore anchorage, toregister with Port Authority

• Liaising with Owners, Charterers, Masters, Surveyors and all otherparty involved for a safe and quick turn around

• The Master is made fully aware of the facilities and restrictions ofrespective port

• Arrange bunkers and lubricants, deslopping, fresh water, crewchange, stores and provision delivery, anchor salvage and assistance,attending cargo operations as required by owners/charterers,underwater cleaning etc.. in liaison with parties concerned

The in-house expertise for the management of Fairdeal’s fleetinspired the development of a fully fledged Safety Equipmentstation inside Fujairah Port.This service is certified by members of IACS, Federal transportAuthority UAE (FTA) and Civil Defence. Whilst we give priorityto serving Marine Requirements, especially for vessels callingoff UAE Ports and Dry Docks in UAE, our services are extendedto local oil terminals for their safety equipment services.

The station has been functional since 1988 and fully authorisedand certified to provide services from our own workshop insideFujairah Port.Services are performed in compliance with ISO 9001:2008Guidelines, and are in process of obtaining QHSE accreditation.A mechanical workshop within our premises support our FleetManagement, Oil Spill Response services, slop services andSafety Equipment Services.
