The Open House event on the grounds of the Homestead Air Reserve Base is free and open to everyone. The Air Show has become a tradition of weekend fun and excitement for the whole family, with plenty of aviation thrills with performances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds,The“Golden Knights”U.S.Army Parachute Team and many more high flying acts and static displays.
Wings Over Homestead Returns to HARB
The 482 Force Support Squadron Marketing and Sponsorship office is the only organization on Homestead ARB authorized to offer sponsorships, we want to welcome everyone as potential supporters and sponsors for this event. With your sponsorship and presence, your company or organization has the opportunity to reach 200,000+ Air Show attendees each day; a total of 400,000 during the two-day Open House Event. In addition, 4,200 military personnel in the South Florida area, as well as, 20,000 military retirees will benefit year- round from your support. This a great opportunity for you to increase awareness of your services with military consumers, aside from reaching the general public coming from Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties.Sponsorships are available at many levels. Homestead ARB will work with you to make sure that your company has an opportunity to reach all the attendees. Lodging will accept and confirm reservations for Priority 2 (space available) guests according to the guidelines outlined in AFI 34-246 table 3.1. Priority 1 guests will not ‘bump’ Priority 2 guests with confirmed reservations, nor will they bump them once they are assigned quarters for a specific period of time, except in times of contingency or when the Installation Commander determines higher priorities exist.

This summer the Single Airmen Program Initiative and RecOn programs are back at Homestead with deep sea night fishing, scuba diving, high-speed indoor kart racing and art for good events.

The RecOn program is for the recreation of married Air Force Active Duty and Air Reserve Component members and their dependents.
“RecOn programs provide outdoor recreational outlets as stress relief for Airmen andtheir families using a range of high-adrenaline outdoor adventure based activities,” saidBarrows-Chandler.“ItcreatesresilientAirmenandfamiliesbyfosteringcohesiveAirForcecommunities.”
“SAPIandRecOnhavedifferenttargetgroupsbut single Airmen can go on RecOn events and attached Airmen can go on SAPI events, however priority goes to the targeted group ofeachprogram,”saidFields.
These programs boost Airmen morale by giving them the opportunity to try new things.
