46 th National Safety Week Celebration at Tata Power, Jojobera The 46 th National Safety Week was observed in its true spirit in our organization from the 4 th to 11 th of March 2017. Various safety awareness programs, competitions, and communications were organized by Safety Department during this week. The activities began with safety march by channel partners on National Safety Day i.e. on 4 th March, the Safety Oath was administered by the senior management, office bearers and representatives of the union, employees and business associates at lawn opposite to service building. National safety flag was hoisted by Mr. V V Namjoshi (Chief Jojobera Station) followed by key address by Mr. Namjoshi and guest of honour Mr. K Chandrashekhar (CEO & ED - MPL)

  • 46th National Safety Week Celebration at Tata Power, Jojobera The 46th National Safety Week was observed in its true spirit in our organization from the 4th to 11th of March 2017.   • Safety oath was administered by all at various locations and departments of plant and in different shifts.

    4th March: – We promoted the theme of National safety Council for the year i.e., "LEADERSHIP IN SAFETY AND HEALTH ENHANCES BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY"-"सुर ा एवं ा म नेतृ से वसाय म थरता बढ़ती है " by distributing key ring and ID card cover portraying the above message.

  • 6th March:- Level-2 training on "Working at height" was organized by TPSDI for 2 days for the workmen those have certified for L1 Basic Safety Training 7th March :- A hot seat quiz competition was organized for contractor employees for understanding the various Do's and Don'ts of the safety practices.

  • 8th March:- A full fledge demonstration on how to rescue someone working at height was organized . 9th March:- Organized quiz event "Q-Safe" for our employee who were participated enthusiastically and enjoyed a lot.

    10th March:- Concluding event of 46th National Safety Week was organized at various major contractor sites.

  • 11th March:- The concluding ceremony of the Safety Week was held at the Sports Complex Ground. Mr. V V Namjoshi (Chief Jojobera Station, Mr. A K Lodh (AGM-Operation), Mr. Rakeswar Pande (President - TPEU),), Mr. Naresh Choudhary (Gen Sec - TPEU), officiated at the function. Mr. Sushil Panigrahi (Head - Safety & Fire) welcomed the gathering. The program commence with lighting of by dignitaries followed by Safety Oath. The Safety Oath was administered by Mr. Shyamal Kumar. Mr. Sushil Panigrahi (Safety) gave a brief account of the events those were held as part of the Safety Week celebrations along with annual safety report. It was followed by Job related safety Skit on “Workplace Hazard” performed by channel partners.

  • Safety skit competition by Tata Power employees. (Theme- Importance of Work permit) Winners of Suraksha Apps Reporting contest, Safety Poster & Slogan competition, Safety Skit competition, Q-Safe quiz competition etc were felicitated during the concluding function and also given the participation prizes for motivation towards safety. Speaking on behalf of the Union, Mr. Pande said that Tata Power Employees Union is always stood along with the management for various safety initiatives. Mr. Namjoshi in his address reminded all to increase their alertness to improve work place safety.

  • An exhibition of all the award winning posters ware displayed near the venue which was visited by all those present at the ceremony. Journey Continues…. ----- Jai Surakshya -----
