th45 DAIRY INDUSTRY CONFERENCE
Dear Fellow Dairymen,
IDA (West Zone) is organizing the biggest Dairy Event of the year, 45th Dairy Industry Conference, from 16th to 18th
February 2017, with India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) 2017, at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre,
Mumbai.
Global warming has been affecting the land and bovine productivity severally, world over. This is directly impacting
the productive and reproductive cycles of milch animals. It is estimated that the milk production in India is likely to
reduce by 3 million tonnes per annum by 2020, solely due to the effects of global warming. Whereas, the demand
for milk & milk products is going to increase up to 200 million tonnes. This is a matter of great concern for the dairy
industry in India. IDA has hence decided to deliberate upon 'Climate Change and Dairying', at the 45th Dairy
Industry Conference.
At the conference, Milk producers, Scientists, Practitioners, Managers & CEO's of the Dairy farms and Milk
processing plants will draw up a road map for sustainable growth while addressing the challenges of Climate
Change, The conference will also provide opportunities for milk product and equipment manufacturers to have B2B
Meetings with the overseas importers. It is expected that around 2500 delegates, from various streams of dairy
industry, from world over, will attend.
The conference will provide an opportunity to PE funds and Financing Agencies to interact with existing plant
owners as well as future investors to understand and meet their financial requirements.
The concurrent exhibition, India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) 2017, will showcase technological developments
in milk production, processing, feed & fodder, packaging and products manufacturing, energy conservation, biogas
plants and dairy effluents.
