isourselves?Followmylifeinwords,

doublyintenseexperience,justwait-

ingformyextofindout.ButIcan’ t

all.Asafairlyopenpersontobegin

Asawritingprojectitself,Ithink

myattractiontotheideastemsfrom

itbeingsomuchaproductofthe

momentwelivein.Theonlywaythat

blogorwebsite,updateddailywith

typedwords,scansofdocuments,

andpicturesofhandwrittensnippets.

Itisaconstant,faithfulrepresenta-

tionofmylifeasawriter,andasa

person,throughmychosenmedium—

words.

Iamsurprisedbyhowquickly

I’ vebecomeaccustomedtothe

ritual— theconstantrecordingandthehourortwoeachnightittakes

toeditandposteverythingtothe

site.I’ vereallybeguntorealizethe

astonishingamountofwordsthatI

write,type,andtexteachday.As

apartofourgenerationanddigital

culture,I’ vediscoveredthattypingis

reallysecondnaturetousall.Gone

arethedaysoffourhourphone

conversations.Textinghasplacedus

innear-constantcommunicationwith

eachother,and,asawriter,Ilove

it.Weareeachwritingthehistory

ofourrelationshipseverysingleday

withoutevergivingitathought.

Really,LifeWrittenhasbecome

theultimateextensionofmyown

aesthetic.Asmostwriterswill(or

won’ t)admit,everythingwewriteis

basedoffofourlifetosomedegree.

Ialwaysstrivetofindthetruthin

thewords,inhumannature— reality

isjustthenextstep.
