4 Storey Office BuildingDesign according to National Building Code of Canada (NBCC 2010) and the Canadian Standard for Design and Construction of Steel Building (CSA-S16-09).

Plan Dimensions: Length = 55m, Width = 30m

First Floor Height: 5.8m

Typical Storey Height: 3.75m

Total Elevation: 17.05m (low-rise)

CBF’s on either side of building to resist lateral loads (wind & earthquake)

2 staircases: East & West side of building

Designed the office building by determining the live, dead, snow, wind, and earthquake load that the structure must resist under specific conditions that vary in Quebec City.

Also designed the CBF’s to satisfy safety standards.

AutoCAD for the structural and architectural drawings.

ETABS for analysis of the structure.
