Polyvalent units are air/water hybrid systems used for simultaneous generation of hot and cold water.
The system is designed to allow excess in either cooling or heating to be discharged via the air-cooled heat exchanger (coils).
Multifunctional units can produce :
- only cooling
- only heating
- heating & cooling simultaneously

The ideal installation for multifunctional units are buildings with inhomogeneous heating and cooling load such as:

Traditional installations
The boiler produces the hot water while the chiller produces the cold water.
Built-in electrical heaters are used for heating purposes while the cold water is produced by the chiller, thus, a less efficient solution.

- Changing over a hospital heating system in the early stages of Winter.-Lifting out the two 35,000 litre storage tanks each weighing 45 tonnes.
- Starting up the system and commissioning with a 30% load.- Two floor upgrade projects running simultaneously with the plant upgrade, two
Consultants and two Contractors but smooth sailing.- Using a new Heat Pump Chiller supplier with a new simultaneous Heating / Cooling Technology, PIC Valves throughout the Secondary Hydraulic Systems
