Sporting a spirited black polka dotted bandana and an array of colorful glow stick necklaces, sophomore Keeane Speed blindly balances his trombone with two hands, as the homecoming football game winds down in 4th quarter. The brass section passed on knowledge about the crowd favorite tradition of “Trombone Suicides” to the new section participants to prepare them for the feat. “It’s an execution of pristine movements aimed to avoid collision with the trombone slide of the person next to you.
