TALENT SHOW ANNOUNCED
STA students were told there will be a Talent Show hosted this school year. Tryouts will be announced sometime after the Fair. Students should start talking with their friends to decide what they’d like to do or as a single student what talent they’d like to share. Dancing, singing, acting, playing an instrument, are some choices to consider. We know we’ll have some amazing talent at try-outs. Please note that only so many acts will be chosen for the show.
CAFETERIA NEWS
After September 30, the flood disaster relief for the cost of school meals, will end. Beginning Tuesday, October 4
th (no
school on the 3rd
), student lunch prices will resume at the rate of $2.90/lunch.
WATER BOTTLE ISSUE
We have allowed sales of water bottles from the cafeteria for students to take outside to recess due to the heat. Unfortunately we have had students popping holes in the tops of the bottles and then throwing them in the air to see if they will land standing straight up. Yesterday at recess on bottle landed on a power line. Others are getting wet from the water coming out of the bottles. Students have been notified if there are any more instances of waters bottles being thrown in the air, a consequence shall be issued and the privilege of bringing water bottles outside will no longer be allowed.

Reading Challenge Turn In Day
The STA Reading Challenge turn in day is next Thursday, September 29th. Mrs. Cockfield is looking forward to having a good number of logs turned in for books students have read. We had a lot of show of hands of those who plan to turn in a log. Remember our goal is to read 2,000 books by the deadline in May.
Red Zone Card Sales
Students are encouraged to finish up their Red Zone Card Sales as all cards and money are due on Monday, Sept. 26th. The proceeds will provide some funding to Gods’ Warriors projects and Praise and Adoration Night, as well as, a project on each campus. This extension of the turn in date gives you one more weekend to sell your cards and earn great prizes. Thank you so much for your assistance in helping your school!
4-H Meeting & Pumpkin Contest The next STA 4-H meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, in Mrs. Sinanan’s room. The meeting will last until 3:15. Our annual Pumpkin Contest will take place at this time. Members who would like to participate in the contest should bring their decorated pumpkins to the library before school on the morning of October 5th. Pumpkins may be taken home after the meeting or the following day. Funny, cute, patriotic, or meant to scare! Create an awesome pumpkin, if you dare!

THANK YOU 4TH GRADERS!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our fourth graders who provided some interesting facts on Constitution Day last Friday to our student body. They helped all realize how important the United States Constitution is to our everyday lives as citizens. Very brave men stood up against the British, who wanted control of the country, and set down in writing the rights of the people in America. The actual celebration of Constitution Day is September 17th each year.
SEE YOU AT THE POLE

SEE YOU AT THE POLE is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer for your generation. God’s Warriors invites students and parents to join us at the St. Theresa Middle flag pole on Wednesday (September 28th) from 7:00 a.m. – 7:10 a.m. We hope to “See You at the Pole”!
