Looki ng Back at Last Week:
Reading – The students learned about the elements of a literary non-fiction text. The students created story maps that included the plot, theme, and sequence of the text that
they read.
Writing – The students used the Big T to start a new prompt.
Language Arts-The students practiced writing dictation sentences correctly.
Math – The students multiplied two digit numbers using area, array, and base ten models.
Social Studies – The students learned about Austin's Colony and took their CSA

District Curriculum Checkpoints – The students take curriculum checkpoints for Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The checkpoint is not for a grade however; we use it for data to help guide our instruction. We want the students to do the best they can. The checkpoint is over topics we have taught this nine weeks.
