Ipc is the Uk’s largest magazine publisherReaching a total of 20 million customersOn its website and 26 million on a month to Month subscription. It targets the mass marketAnd appeals to both male and females (large readership)It also produces other music magazines such as NME.I chose Ipc because its much larger than EMAP and becauseIt would be easier to distribute because of the large audience That Ipc targets.

Emap is a large publisher, however It isn’t as powerful as Ipc. Also its focalPoint is mainly business to business Magazines and this would be a disadvantageTo my magazine. Finally, many of Emap’sMusic magazine have folded over time, Such as “Select” and “Sounds”
