1 CREATING A PHYSICAL INTERFACE FOR A WBTS COCO.

The object of this section is to build an interface between the physical transmission pathand the WBTS connection configuration. (COCO)

!!" session to the #O!$ %irtual interface& is re'uired. This can be obtained byselecting the #!mWindow& icon from the #pplication "auncher& or by using a T termsession.

*ou will need the S+T or S+T %alue (obtained from your circuit order details) and thephysical interface ,.

lso note that you may find a correlation between -hyTT- S+T or -hyTT- T! /d0s. These are normally defined by 1etwor2 -lanning and will be defined before 3Cntegrations commence.

f you are creating or adding a new WC+"< select the #dd WC+"& button from#1ew WBTS site& %iew. new window will open< allowing you to datafill the WC+".

Select the #Set ,efaults& button prior to any datafill.

The "ocal cell resource identifier will increment on each new WC+" added to theWBTS. The Cell identifier (C,)< Ser%ice area code (SC) and $3 identityEshould be entered using the cells appropriate Cell , from the ,atafill.

The "ocation area code ("C)< 3outing area code (3C)< $3/C1 (WC,!carrier) and -rimary downlin2 scrambling code can also be found in the,atafill.Set the Cell range to EF

Select the Connection Configuration icon (highlighted below) and right clic2 your pointingde%ice.

Select #1ew ub Connection Configuration& to open the #+nter connection identifiers&

window.

+nter the three %alues re'uired.

The CoCo , is to be the same as the BTS , found in ,atafill

The Girtual -ath identifier (G-) can be found in ,atafill.

-C3 "H $- %alues of E@IA HF?? are not to be used for commissioning newsites. These %alues are now redundant and are gradually being remo%ed from thenetwor2.

Select the #"H signalling lin2s& icon. +nter the GC and 1J 4 +J3 -C3 %aluesfound in the ,atafill.

Select the #"H user plane lin2s& icon. +nter the GC and 1J 4 +J3 -C3 foundin the ,atafill. Then select the "HSJ GC Galue for the rele%ant W!.

On completion of the datafill< select #O=.&

Confirm operations ha%e succeeded. Select #O=& to close window.

CREATING ADACENCIES.

t will be the responsibility of 1etwor2 -erformance to optimise site oncecommissioned.

$ntil full access is obtained by 1- (%ia 1etct)< it will be the responsibility of the3C engineer< with coDoperation of the 1- team< to add adjacencies tocommissioned sites.

+pand the %iew of the source and destination WC+" to re%eal any eisting,K0s.

/rom below< it can be seen that WBTSH? WC+"E has no eisting ,K0s< whereasWBTSE?I WC+"E has three.

We are going to create a #both way& adjacency between WBTSH? WC+"E andWBTSE?I WC+"E. This will be the first ,K for WBTSH? WC+"E and the fourthfor WBTSE?I WC+"E.

djacency and then the type of adjacency. This section will show an intra ,Kcreation.

Once the 1+W ,K window has opened< select the default tab.

Choose the target cell you wish to neighbour to from the dropdown menu under#Target cell information&.

+isting %alues will now be loaded for the target cell.

+nter the source cell adjacency identifier under #Outgoing adjacency&

s detailed earlier< this will be the first outgoing ,K for WBTSH? WC+"E< soenter E.

Select the #Create incoming adjacency& tab< then enter the #target cell adjacencyidentifier& %alue. This is the forth ,K on the destination WC+" so enter >.

Select O= and wait for the operation confirmation window.

4 DCN CONFIG2RATION.

The 1o2ia WBTS (consisting of an T! Cross Connect LMCN and WC,! BTS) canbe remotely managed from 1etct after the WBTS has been successfully commissionedand configured for O! connection. /or this purpose< the 31C and MC act as -routers.

n the WBTS< the application management units< (W!0s) ta2e care of configuration andO! functions. One W! acts as a master O! unit (!W!) and is the only unit%isible for the ,C1 networ2 O! purpose.

*ou can build the networ2 interface between the 31C and desired WBTS.

,uring the COCO configuration< a G- termination point will ha%e been created. The netstage will be to create the GC termination point.

n the !!" eamples below< the (J) %alue is that of the G- found in the ,atafill

+nsure that one O!$ is at WOD+M and the other is at T+D+M or S-D+M
