Autoclave Machine

• An autoclave is a device used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C for around 20 minutes.

• In our lab, we use the autoclave machine to clean the pipette tips.

• It is also used to sterilize the water that is filled in to the water tray of CO2 Incubator.

Settings

Power Button Pressure Gauge Control Panel

• Open the lid of machine and add 2 L DI water for every cycle. Close the lid tightly after keeping samples.

• To turn on Autoclave machine, firstly engage the Power Button• Then press ‘Start’ until start light is on.• Temperature will start increasing up to the set value and time.• Time and Temperature can be set by pressing ‘Mode’ and then changing the values using

‘right’, ‘left’ and ‘up’ arrow buttons.• Open the lid after display panel shows temperature below 25°C.
