3 May 24, 2020 - Ascension of the Lord

Hello Everyone!!! It is so good to be able to celebrate Mass again with people. So happy for you to be here with me. I do ask that if you do not think you can do what is being asked of you then you need to not attend. If you are sick or elderly you need to not attend. Let’s all stay safe and healthy. Today we as a church celebrate the Ascension of the Lord. This is an important day in the church’s calendar because it sets us up to celebrate the birthday of the church, which is Pentecost next weekend. Be sure to wear RED next weekend. The Finance Committee met recently to present the 2020-2021 budget to the Pastoral Council. The Pastoral Council approved the budget at it’s meeting. The Finance Committee and Pastoral Council approved 2 projects as well. We will be putting on a new roof on our church and updating the rectory’s kitchen and putting on a new deck off of the kitchen. These project will be paid from our Capital Improvements account not from our regular collections or savings. This Wednesday is my 31st Anniversary to the Priesthood. How we are in different times than ever before. While there have been some lows in these 31 years the highs outnumber the lows. I ask that you continue to pray for me and please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Much Love and Prayers Fr. Tony
