EXT. ISLA NUBLAR - DAY

A downpour of rain...

A military caravan is trekking through the thick foliage ofthe island, whenthey encounter a T-Rex. It looks at the teamof soldiers and twists its head

like a curious bird.

EDDIE, the man in the clean black suit, steps out of the leadtruck with ahigh powered rifle. He looks through the scopeand aims carefully at theT-Rexs eye.

EDDIE Youre a big clumsy creature,thatswhy you became extinct. Youwere wipedout by a meteor for goodreason. Now youwill be wiped outby me. Youre the lastone, buddy.

Eddie pulls the trigger on his rifle. Nothing happens. Hepulls it again.Nothing happens. The T-rex charges toward the caravan.

EDDIE (pounding onrifle)Cmon you piece ofcrap!

The T-rex slams into the lead truck, which crashes into the vehicledirectly behind, causing a domino effect. As Eddiefiddles with his rifle,the T-rex goes around picking offsoldiers.

INT. TROOP TRUCK - DAY

It forces its head through the side of a troop truck. Thesoldiers scurryback and huddle together. SOLDIER #1 nudgesSOLDIER #2.

SOLDIER #1 Shoot thatgoddamn thing!

SOLDIER #2 Im outtaammunition!

The T-rex roars as its head presses against the canvasceiling.

EXT. ISLA NUBLAR - DAY

The T-rex backs up from the troop truck, its mouth stainedwith blood.It swings back toward, Eddie. Eddie aims hisrifle again and pulls thetrigger.

A large feathered dart shoots the T-rex in the neck. It fallsdown andsplashes in the mud.

Eddie walks over to the T-rex. He pulls out the dart andsmirks.

EDDIE Too bad you didnt evolve foranimmunity against poison.

Eddie throws the dart behind his shoulder. It lands in a puddle of water,which make concentric circles, as the islandreverberates from theclapping thunder.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. UNIVERSAL LOGO - DAY

A globe spins against a black background, encapsulated bylargeletters which read, UNIVERSAL.

EXT. USC - DAY - ESTABLISHING

The University of Southern California. Lots of students.

INT. LECTURE HALL - DAY

The lecture is seen behind a tall thin man with brown hair, facing outtoward a huge crowd of students.

GRANT(back facing)Yes, most scientists believethat the dinosaurs went extinct becauseof a meteorite. But what most peopledont know it was in factdouble impact...

A spirited looking boy raises his hand for a question.

GRANT Questions will be answered

after the presentation.

MAX interrupts anyway.

MAX Your meteorites are a fantasy!Thereason the dinos went extinct isbecause of gradual climacticchange.

MAX (CONT'D) The disappearance ofkey plantspecies and an inability toadaptto colder weather is whatreallydid them in.

The camera turns to reveal Grants calm but irritated face.

GRANT Would you please come up onstagefor a minute?

Max looks at the others, unsure.

GRANT Id like to show yousomething.

He reluctantly stands up and goes on the stage.

GRANT (gestures)Step here

for a minute.

Max walks out, dead center for everyone to see. Grant leavesfor aminute and returns with a beach ball painted in thelikeness of a meteor.

GRANT Now imagine for a second youare adinosaur. I know its difficult. Justtry.

Max is tense, motionless as Grant circles around him.

GRANT Okay, here I have a meteor. Youaredinosaur, a little, little dinosaur. Ithrow this meteor at your head.

Grant throws the ball at Max, the crowd laughs as it bouncesoff hishead.

GRANT Twice.

Grant picks up the ball and throws it again.

GRANT So youre alive, yourestillstanding, youre still onstage.Nothing has happened.

Grant takes out a tiny meteorite from his pocket and shows itto thecrowd.

GRANT(showing meteor)But what if the meteorwas made out of a dense material, likethis?

Grant throws the meteor at Maxs head. Max flinches.

GRANT Hurts? Okay. Now take thatlittlepebble of a meteor and increasethesize by a million... Then multiplythespeed by a hundred... Do youthink youdbe dead?

Max concedes with shoulders slumped forward andanembarrassed face. Grant pats Max on the shoulder.

GRANT Go have a seat,

INT. BACKSTAGE - DAY

As the students leave, Grant tramps down a small set ofstairs. Alady in shadow appears in front.

GRANT Sorry, Im not signing anybookstoday.

ELLIE (in

shadow)No?

GRANTUnfortunately.

Grant walks forward. ELLIE comes out from the shadow. She is absolutelystunning, more gorgeous than ever. Age has onlymade her moreattractive. The fine lines on her face draw toward her pouty lips.

GRANT Ellie?

ELLIE I really enjoyed the lecture,Alan.But you were a little rougharoundthe edges -- as usual.

GRANT Hes a tough kid. He can take it.

INT. CAFETARIA - DAY

Grant and Ellie are in line, waiting to buy food.

ELLIE Its a shame we cant see more ofeach other. I guess were all busy.

GRANT When did we last meet?2001, I think... So why are you here?

ELLIE Working on a little project fortheuniversity.

GRANT Whats it

about?

The line moves forward. The lunch lady looks at Grant.

ELLIE (teasing)Itsa secret.

GRANT(to lunch lady)Ill have a bagelwith creamcheese.

(to Ellie)Oh come now. You can tell an

ELLIE (to lunch lady)A saladand water, please.

(to Grant)Okay, Ill explain it when wesitdown.

Ellie and Grant take their meals and sit down at an emptytable.

GRANT What are you

ELLIE The university purchased someofthe technology Hammondinvented.Theyre using it toreplicatevelociraptor blood... Theybelieveit can fight disease, as a sortofsuper antibiotic.

GRANT Are you sure they arent usingitfor something else?

ELLIE Itslegitimate.

GRANT Since when did you startgettinginto medicine?

Ellie rests her face on her hands and smiles.

ELLIE Wow. It really has been a longtimehasnt it?

EXT. INGEN OFFICE - DAY - ESTABLISHING

The ghost of glorys past. A quiet grey stone building sitsoutside whilethe wind gently blows trash down the sidewalk.

INT. INGEN OFFICE - DAY

In a large empty room, a big black chair sits in the middle,its backfacing out. It spins around. HAMMOND sighs andtwirls a cane with an

amber stone on top. He gets up andambles outside through the doubledoors.

INT. CIRCULAR ROOM - DAY

Hammond enters a circular room, the center of the former InGen Office.He watches as repo men carry away his past in cheap cardboard boxes.

HAMMOND (to man trying to pryawaya fiberglass dino)Be carefulwith that!

The repo man ignore him and tears away the bolted fiberglass dino,leaving only its feet. Hammond looks crestfallen. He sits down on thefloor. A long shadow appears over him.

Hammond lifts his head. His grown-up grandchildren, TIM andLEX, lift himoff the floor. Tim puts his arm around Hammond.

TIM Lets gogrampa.

The three quietly exit as a ray of light shines throughskylight,highlighting the sparkling dust hanging in themusky air.

EXT. VERMONT AVE - DAY

An arm spray paints a white line across the asphalt. Two carspull up andwe see a crowd of people. In the yellow car,LOGAN. In the red Cadillac,Max and his girlfriend, SASHA.

LOGAN You ready forthis?

MAX Those textbooks wontbuyemselves.

Sasha looks at Max.

SASHA Really, Max. Racing fortextbooks?

MAX Its a guy thing, Sasha.

Max puts on his glasses.

MAX If you wanna leave, you can.

Sasha buckles up her seat belt. A SCRAWNY kid raises a pistolin the air.

SCRAWNY (deepvoice)On yourmarks...

The cars rev their engines. SCRAWNY Get set... Max squeezes the wheel

of his car. SCRAWNY Ready... Logan hangs a pair of dice on his mirror.

SCRAWNY Go! Max and Logan step on the gas. Logans car zooms off.

Maxscar just sputters. MAX Aw! Not now! Max hops out his car. MAX Popthe hood, Sasha! Sasha pops the hood. Max takes out a multi-tool from

hispocket and fiddles around inside. He slams the hood down andjumps

back inside the car. MAX Lets go! Max presses on the gas. The car takes

off at lightning speed.It catches up to Logans yellow car. Logan looks

out,surprised. LOGAN Holy shit! Sasha waves goodbye to Logan as the

Cadillac zooms ahead and goes past the finish line.

EXT. SASHAS HOUSE - NIGHT

Max pulls the Cadillac into the driveway, along with Sasha. He kisses heron the cheek.

MAX Ill see youtomorrow.

Sasha gets of the car. She waves goodbye as Max takes his carinto thedriveway next door.

EXT. GRANTS HOUSE - NIGHT

Max blows Sasha a kiss, then he goes inside of the house.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - MAIN FOYER - NIGHT

Max enters the house, his ears pick up on a sound, a lightjazzy music.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - DINING - NIGHT

Grant and Ellie tap their wine glasses together and smile ateach other

as the swig down the dark purple liquid. Maxenters the room.

MAX Dad?

GRANT Ellie, Id like you to meetmyson... Max.

Ellie reaches across the table and shakes Maxs hand.

MAX Whats going on here? Youre

nothaving a romantic dinner are you?

GRANT Max, dont be ridiculous. Shes anold friend.

Max spots the wedding ring on Ellies finger.

GRANT Have a seat,son.

MAX No, I think I should...

GRANT Sit down.

Max sits down on Grants command.

Ellie raises an eyebrow. She smirks and pours Max a glass awine. Granttakes away the wine glass.

GRANT No. He doesntdrink.

ELLIE Oh. Mymistake.

MAX Im kind of a monk when it comes toalcohol. I just dont like thestuff. Forobvious reasons...

ELLIE What do you mean by

that?

Grant looks at Max and shakes his head.

MAX My mom died in a caraccident.

ELLIE Oh thats sosad.

MAX And I think by mypreviousstatement, you can guesshow ithappened.

Ellie looks at her watch. Its way past midnight.

ELLIE Oh shoot. I gottago.

Ellie stands. Grant gets up from his seat.

GRANT So soon?

ELLIE I have to be at the lab six hours.

GRANT Well, let me see you to thedoor.

Max continues sitting as Grant shows Ellie to the door. Hesmells thewine, makes a disgusted face.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - MAXS ROOM - DAY

Morning has come. The alarm clock on Max;s night stand goesoff. Maxsearches with his arm, trying to find the snoozebutton. But he reaches

too far out and accidentally tumblesto the floor.

Thud!

GRANT (OS)Everything alright upthere?

MAX Yeah. Im just exercising!

Max gets up and rubs his head.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - KITCHEN - DAY

Max runs into the kitchen and grabs his knapsack. Grant isalreadyawake, making breakfast -- orange juice, burnt toastand tofu sausages.

As Max is about to leave...

GRANT Breakfast isready!

Max reluctantly takes a seat. Grant puts the food onto aplate and

serves the unappetizing melange. Max picks up theblackened toast. Itsnaps in half.

GRANT Eat up.

MAX Im not really that hungry.

GRANT A growing boy needs toeat.

MAX (to self)Eat what, thats thequestion.

GRANT What wasthat?

MAX I have a stomachache.

Max gets up.

MAX Ill eat the breakfast when I comehome!

Max runs out the kitchen.

EXT. GRANTS HOUSE - BACKYARD - DAY

Grant puts on his famous hat and walks into the backyard. Hehears thesound of a child playing through the fence. Hewalks over to look.

There is a toddler playing with disfigured G.I. Joes in a sandbox.

GRANT Whatcha got there,Jeff?

JEFF looks up.

JEFF GI Joe!

Grant reaches into his back pocket and takes out a toydinosaur,a triceratops.

JEFF Whatsthat?

GRANT Atriceratops.

JEFF Twy-sawah-tops?

GRANT Would you like to play withit?

Jeff waddles over to Grant and lifts his head. Grant reaches over andhands him the toy. Jeff looks at the toy. He runsback to his sandbox and

uses it to fight with the GI Joes.Grant lifts his hat and smiles.

EXT. BEACH - DAY

Max and Sasha are at the beach, relaxing under a bigumbrella. Max isreading a book, The City and the Stars.

MAX I love theweekend.

Sasha lifts her sunglasses and sees a crowd gathering by theshore,staring out.

SASHA Max!

MAX What?

SASHA I think somethings goingon.

MAX Let the coast guard worry about it.

Sasha takes Maxs book. Max looks at the crowd.

MAX So theres a bunch ofpeoplestaring at the water...

Sasha gets up. Max follows her as she goes to join the crowd.They pushthrough to the front.

MAX I dont seeanything.

Sasha points to a little island.

SASHA Overthere.

There is a silhouette of an Apatosaurus, swaying its headback andforth.

MAX It couldnt be...

EXT. LITTLE ISLAND - DAY

A stout man in overalls with the words NuTech emblazoned on the front,is controlling a fake robotic dinosaur with aradio.

INT. NUTECH BOARD ROOM - DAY

Eddie, the CEO of National United Technology, is standing infront of hispeers in a dark room, lit only by a projector.

On screen is a picture of tourists bunched together,artificiallysmiling.

EDDIE If we make this thing... we canbebigger than Disney Land... Theres nostopping us. We have the realestate. We

have the technology --which we got fordirt cheap -- andwe virtually have nocompetitors.

The Chief Marketing Officer, the CMO, raises his hand.

EDDIE Yes?

CMO When you say virtuallynocompetitors, what exactly doyoumean by that?

EDDIE I mean --no competitors. Noteventhe old, Jurassic Park. The U.S.Military and I got rid of thatproblem. Itwas a real hazard.

CMO Even with what we have now, I stillthink its too dangerous.

EDDIE Its been more than a decade and a

half since the original parkopened.Technology has advancesignificantly. Itwould be nothingbut safe.

The CHAIRMAN rubs his chin with skepticism.

CHAIRMAN I realize we have thistechnology,Edward, but it doesnt mean wehave to use it.

EDDIE Did you not watch the videoIshowed you. Did you see how thepeopleat the beach reacted? Itwasnt even areal dinosaur... Imagine what they wouldpay to seea real one.

INT. LARRY KING LIVE - NIGHT

Grant looks at LARRY King across the table. Theres a twinklein his eye.

LARRY You are the dinosaurman.

GRANT Some people call methat.

LARRY Even after the horrific tragedyonJurassic Park, you still maintainaninterest in dinosaurs. Why isthat?

GRANT Ive grew up with dinosaurs allmylife, both in the dirt and above it -- and Ibelieve theyre creaturesthat need ourrespect. My reverencefor them, whattheyve done to mylife, will never diedown. Just because youve loved and lost,doesnot mean you can love again.

LARRY And lets talk about your book for amoment...

Larry King lifts a book and shows it to the camera, DanceswithDinosaurs.

LARRY Why the strange title? DanceswithDinosaurs.

GRANT A dinosaur is an agilecreature.When you go face to face withoneits like a dance. Except if youscrewup you wont get dumped,youll get

eaten.

LARRY That actually makesense.

Grant and Larry snicker together.

INT. HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT

Ellie turns off the television. She takes off her glasses andputs them onthe night stand behind. She turns off the lightsand spreads out her limbs.

There is a knock at the door. Ellie turns on the light. Sheputs on a robeand goes to answer it. When she opens the doorthere are two policeofficers standing in front of her.

OFFICER #1 folds his arms.

OFFICER #1 Are you MissSattler?

ELLIE Dr. Ellie Sattler, yes.

OFFICER #2 speaks up.

OFFICER #2 Sorry to bother you so latein thenight, but we need to ask yousomequestions.

ELLIE Whatabout?

OFFICER #2 We believe your laboratoryhas beenbroken into.

ELLIE Youre kidding me. What didtheytake?

OFFICER #1 Microscopes, labequipment... thatsort of thing.

OFFICER #2 At first we thought theyweretaking something of more value,

butit turns they just might behoodlums --trying to make a coupleextra bucks.

ELLIE So what can Ido?

OFFICER #1 Come down with us to thelab. Let us investigate the crimescene.That sort of thing.

ELLIE Why are you coming to me?Shouldntyou speak with the University?

OFFICER #1 Are you not the leadscientist ofthe project?

OFFICER #1 Take your

Ellie closes the door.

INT. LABORATORY - NIGHT

Ellie does a retinal eye scan and enters the lab with the twopoliceofficers. They use their flashlights to light the way.The three of them walktogether and look around.

ELLIE It doesnt appear as if theplacehas been broken into.

OFFICER #1 Im gonna go check roundback. Officer Smith is gonna ask you somequestions.

ELLIE Okay.

As Officer #2 questions Ellie, Officer #1 goes to the back.

CUT TO:

He finds a computer in the corner. He turns on the monitor,wherethere is a password screen.

Officer #1 sticks a USB key into the tower case and uploads a program.The program unlocks the computer and gives him access to a menu.

Meanwhile, Ellie is still talking to Officer #2 as he jotsdown notes.

ELLIE I really dontknow.

OFFICER #2 So you dont remember thelastpeople who visited this laboratory?

ELLIE A lot of workers come in and out.Its hard to keep track. Butgenerallywithout authorization,nobody can get in.

CUT TO:

Back with Officer #1. He is typing away on the keyboard in anencryptedlanguage. After punching enter, a message come up,Access Granted.

A cylindrical tube pops up on the adjacent counter as coldwhitesmoke billows onto the ground.

CUT TO:

Officer #1 joins Officer #2 as he flips his note pad close.

OFFICER #2 Okay Dr. Ellie. Thank you foryourtime. Well let you know ifanythingcrops up... Are youalright to drive backalone to yourhotel?

ELLIE I should be fine... Its a bad area,but Im only there for a bittill I find anapartment.

OFFICER #1 Well you know whoto call iftheres trouble.

Officer #1 and Officer #2 leave. Ellie looks back, as if she feelssomething suspicious has just occurred.

Max is on the couch watching TV when a newscast comes on.

INT. NEWSCAST - LABORATORY - DAY

The JOURNALIST holds a microphone close to her mouth.

JOURNALIST Im Marie Ching, here at theUniversity of Southern California.I am inthe laboratory, where arobbery hasrecently taken place.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - LIVING ROOM

Max shouts to Grant as he watches.

MAX Dad my schools onTV!

GRANT (O.S.)Im busy!

INT. NEWSCAST - LABORATORY - DAY

The newscast continues.

JOURNALIST Nothing it appears, atfirstglance, is missing. But if we go totheback of the lab we can clearlysee a crimehas taken place.

The cameraman follows the journalist as she goes back wherethere isthe protruding cylindrical tube -- empty.

JOURNALIST(hand points to container)Here you can see

an emptycylindrical container. This iswherethe item in question, hasbeen stolen.Several tubes of dinosaur DNA... Police arenot sure how it was stolen, as there is noevidence of a forced break in...

The Journalist brushes back her hair.

JOURNALIST But say they are working onit.Although it does not seem to be atoppriority for them, as there aremoreimportant issues to dealwith.

INT. GRANTS HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

The phone suddenly rings. Max mutes the television. He picksit up.

MAX(on phone)Hello? Oh hey, Sasha. Yeah.Im notreally doing anything rightnow.Okay. Ill met you there. Bye.

Max hangs up the phone.

EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - DAY

Protesters march around the construction site, holding anti-Jurassic Parkplacards.

As they shout their slogans and scream, Max drives up withhisconvertible. He spots his Sasha waving her fist in theair.

SASHA Jurassic Park is dangerous!Wedont your Jurassic Park!

The Construction workers try to get back to work, but theyareviolently pushed back by the protesters.

INT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - CRANE - DAY

On top of a crane, Eddie is looking down at the protesters.

EDDIE Damnhippies.


Max gets out of his car. He pushes through the crowd and tapsSasha onthe shoulder.

Sasha turns around.

SASHA Max! Youcame!

Sasha gives Max a placard.

Max puts the sign down.

MAX I didnt know you wanted to meetmefor a protest... I have otherthings todo.

MAX Actually, Im not againstJurassicPark.

SASHA What?

MAX Im not against Jurassic Park.

SASHA What?

MAX I LOVE JURASSICPARK!

Sasha and the others turn and stare at Max.

MAX Uh...

They turn back and continue protesting. Sasha bring Max outof thecrowd and takes him aside to talk.

SASHA What do you mean you love,JurassicPark?

Max storms off and jumps into his Cadillac.

The wheels of Maxs car kicks up dust as it leavestheconstruction site.

Eddie appears on the horizon. He walks confidently andapproaches thecrowd. He steps on top of a box to address thepeople.

EDDIE Excuseme...

The protesters boo.

EDDIE I know, I know! Youre

angry...Well Im angry too.

A BIG DUDE steps out and bellows.

BIG DUDE Whatre you angryabout?!

EDDIE Global warming... Isnt thatwhyyall are protesting? Global warming.I know, I know. The parkis going to takeup a lot ofresources... But were using

solarenergy to run it! Were trying tobeas responsible as possible.

Sasha turns to one of the protesters, BIG LADY.

SASHA Is that what wereprotestingabout?

Grant is walking in the park with Ellie.

ELLIE Aw, thats how all kids are.

EXT. TROPICAL RESORT - DAY

Officer #1 and Officer #2, now identified by their realnames, WESand DEAN, have a seat by Eddie, sitting at theround glass table.

They shake hands.

EDDIE So nice to seeyou.

WES Likewise.

EDDIE Do youhave it?

DEAN Of course.

Wes hands Eddie a package. Eddie puts it in a briefcase andhides itunder the table.

WES Being a bit paranoid arent we?

EDDIE You can never be too careful...Bythe way, did anyone follow you?

WES We were likeninjas.

The WAITRESS arrives.

Max slams the door shut. He sees a crew of workers pushing alargeopaque cage on wheels. Whats inside cannot be seen.However Maxscuriosity is piqued.

When they set it down and leave, Max tiptoes over. He goes upto thecage and looks through the holes.

He doesnt see anything -- but something sees him. It looksbackthrough the inside of the cage.

As Max pulls his face back a roar is heard and a claw jumpsout thehole. Max falls back from the surprise.

Max stands. He takes a flashlight and shines it inside,trying to geta better look.

Rain has drenched the construction site...

It is now surrounded by a high chain link fence, to keep outprotesters anddissidents -- but its quickly dismantled whena jeep smashes through.

A man in a white suit hops out of the vehicle. He hobblesthrough thepuddles of water carrying a cane. He makes hisway over to a big gray

box rooted in the ground.HAMMOND This ought to hamper theirlittle venture.

Hammond pries it open. There is an LCD screen with akeyboard.Hammond hacks through the system and typessomething we dont see.Then he closes the box and walks awaywith a grin.

The construction site is more built up than ever. Itsactually starting tolook like a park. There are workersbusily getting thing prepared; every

little detail, from theplacement of rocks, to the angle of the lights.Nothing istoo small to look over.

Eddie walks to the gate at front. He looks up and guides thecrawlercrane operator with his hand gestures, the oneholding the big electronicsign.

EDDIE A little to the left!(looking)Yeah! Thats it!

The crane lowers the sign, somehow, perfectly onto theground. Itlooks great, angled just right for visitors to see.

Eddie gives a thumbs-up. The crane swings away and leaves.Eddiegrabs a cord from the back and connects it into anoutdoor socket.

Theres another set of people in the vehicle. The LITTLE BOYwith thestuffed dino looks at Grant.

LITTLE BOY The park shuts down atnight andwhen it rains. The place issolarpowered. Theres no need foraroof.

GRANT You obviously havent beenarounddinosaurs.

The cars speed up and go further down, past the flat plainland andinto the denser jungle.

There are no wires or barriers to keep the dinosaurs away.Grant ofcourse notices this right away.

Max looks down. The BABOOM happens again. Concentric circles form inthe water around his ankles. A T-REX ROAR bellows.

MAX I think we better get back tothehotel.

Max takes Raven by the hand, as they run for the hotel aT-rex twistsaround the corner and appears in front of them.Raven screams. Maxcovers her mouth.

MAX Dontmove.

Raven squirms. The T-rex lowers its head and looks at her.

MAX(low voice)

If you dont move, he cant seeyou. A T-rex is stimulated bymotion. Just stay still.

The T-rex roars. The wind and spittle pushes back Max andRavens hair.Raven gets scared. She pulls away from Max andshe starts to run in theopposite direction. Max follows her.

MAX I told you not to run!

The T-rexs little arms hang down as it chases Max and Raven.Raventurns into an alleway, Max goes there too.

EXT. ALLEWAY - DAY

Max and Raven run to the back, by the big brick wall, thedead end. TheT-rex tries to squish between the buildings. Itsnaps its jaws trying toreach.

MAX Weretrapped.

RAVEN What do we do? What do we

MAX Ever play frisbee with a dog?

Max pulls back the lid.

Max throws the lid. It whirls over the T-rexs head. The T-rex turns

around. Max and Raven run between its legs.


Max and Raven run as the T-rex chases after them. They gothroughthe glass door. The T-rex sticks its head through.

MAX Ha! Cant get in canyou?

Max picks up a pebble from the floor and flings it at theT-rex. The T-rex roars. It shoves its body through.

MAX Oh shit.

The T-rex swings its tail around. Max and Raven duck out theway. Theyjump over the couches and run as they T-rex chasesbehind. They turn acorner into the hallway with elevators.

INT. ELEVATOR AREA - DAY

Max presses the up button for the elevator while holdingRavens hand.The elevator doors open. A T-rex taps its toeon the floor and looks atMax and Raven.

Max and Raven fall back. They scramble to their feet and runtoward thedirection of the T-rex. They stop in their track.

MAX Oh right, the T-rex.

They look behind and slowly walk backward, toward the middleof thehall, the elevator area. The raptor starts to run. Maxand Raven duckdown. It jumps forward -- right onto the Trexs head.

The T-rex pulls back and swings around. Max pulls up Raven.

MAX Cmon.

He takes her into the elevator.

The Dilophosaur spreads out its frill.

The Dilophosaur jumps up onto one of the flipped over couches and makesa rattling noise at Max.

MAX Dont make any suddenmovements...

Raven starts backing away, when she accidentally falls down.The noisestartles the Dilophosaur, it turns around and screeches.

Max tosses the lamp. It smashes into the Dilophosaurs back, knocking itover. Max jumps over the couch and grabs Raven bythe hand. TheDilophosaur shakes its head, dazed from the attack.

Max and Raven run to the west wing of the suite.

INT. PRESIDENTIAL SUITE - WEST WING - DAY

They go into a door.

INT. PRESIDENTIAL SUITE - BATHROOM - DAY

Max and Raven find themselves in a bathroom. They hear thenoise ofthe wily Dilophosaur from outside.

Hunter pushes forward on the throttle.

The motorboat speeds along the water. Hunter pulls back onthethrottle and stops.

GRANT Why are westopping?

HUNTER I needsome gas.

GRANT Where are you going to getgasfrom?

Hunter takes off his shirt and dives underwater. Several seconds

pass. Hunter pops up with a gas nozzle.ELLIE I didnt know those thingscouldreach that far.

Hunter puts the gas nozzle into his boat.

Grant and Ellie pull, but the wet Hunter slips away into thewater. Acloud of blood rises to the surface.

ELLIE Can dinosaursswim?

A POPPING noise catches Ellie and Grants attention. Theylook back atthe deflating raft. Suddenly the boat starts torock. Grant and Ellie slipand fall over. They hang onto thesides, trying to keep from going intothe water.

The nose of the motorboat starts to tilt upward, slowly goingvertical.

ELLIE I cant holdon!

Ellie loses her grip, she and Rusty catch on to Grants leg.

GRANT Ellie!

The motorboat tilts more. Ellie slides off into the water. The boatsuddenly slams back down. An enormous green tailsplashes in front.

Ellie pops her head out of the water. Grant pulls her in asthe head of aDakosaurus surfaces from behind. He dashes to the front of themotorboat and pushes the throttle forward.He takes control as theDakosaurus chases them.

The motorboat takes a corner and does a drift. The Dakosaurus is catchingup, only several feet away.

GRANT Itll distracthim!

Ellie looks at Rusty. Rust whimpers and covers his eyes.Ellie looks in thecooler as the Dakosaurus zigzags, makingwaves in the water. She findsa pistol. She takes it out andaims it.

Three shots. Bang! Bang! Bang! The Dakosaurussubmergesunderwater.

ELLIE I think scared it off!

The Dakosaurus rises from the water, it jumps up and flips infront of themotorboat. The motorboat turns and capsizes. Itsinks down.

Ellie, Grant and Rusty tread water as the water motionsaroundthem, The Dakosaurus underneath, circling.

GRANT I think this is the end, Ellie...

Max suddenly appears in his bathtub. He waves at Grant.

MAX Dad!

GRANT Max! Get out ofhere!

The Dakosaurus starts swimming toward Max. Max tries topaddleaway with a pair of bathroom plungers.

As the Dakosaurus leaps up into the air, the head of anElasmosaurusarises and snaps on to its tail. It takes the Dakosaurus and swings itaround, throwing it straight througha building.

The Elasmosaurus bows its neck and looks down at Max. Max sinks down

and cowers. The Elasmosaurus brings itself closer, its a harmlesscreature. Seeing this, Max pets its head.

MAX Youre not such a bad guy are you?

The Elasmosaurus lets out a sound of contentedness, like a happydolphin. Then it sinks away into the water. Grant,Ellie, and Rusty joinMax.

ELLIE Mind if we hitch aride?

Max picks up Rusty and puts him in the tub.

MAX Follow me.

He spins the boat and moves forward. Grant and Ellie followbehind,slowly swimming. Max stops the boat over a flat areaof water. He getsout and stands up. Hes standing on water.

MAX Tada!

GRANT How?

Grant and Ellie swim ahead, they crawl and stand up to.

MAX Remember Dad? Theconvention center!

Grant bends over and looks. Underneath the glass roof are aton of

Grant stamps down. A CRACK noise is heard. He jumps andstartsswimming toward the ledge. More CRACKING. A big holeforms as theglass gives way, water starts swirling in. Grantswims as hard as he can.

Max jumps into the water. He hangs onto the ledge and extendshis legs

like a ladder. Ellie grabs onto the shoulder part ofhis clothes to keep himfrom getting sucked in. Grant grabsonto one of Maxs legs.

The water swirls and swirls. The convention center is fillingup. Grantstruggles to hold on.

MAX Dont letgo!

GRANT You dont have to tellme!

Rusty bites onto Maxs shirt, pulling along with Ellie,struggling tokeep the two from getting swept away.

The trio flap their wings and squawk. One of them jumpsforwardand puts Rusty between its beak.

The sound of a HELICOPTER is heard above. Grant, Ellie, Sasha, and Maxlook up at big black rescue chopper, a doubleblade CHINOOK.

A SOLDIER IN A HARNESS drops down.

SOLDIER IN HARNESS Dr. Grant.

EXT. OVER CITY - RESCUE CHOPPER - DAY

The rain has stopped and the sky has cleared. The sun-sets asthe rescuechopper flies over the flooded city -- which isbarely recognizable. Theplace looks like a dystopiannightmare.

INT. RESCUE CHOPPER - DAY

Grant looks out the window.

GRANT (quietly)When will peopleever learn?

ELLIE Alan, sit down. Take a rest.

Grant sits down. He looks around at the others, Ellie, Max, Sasha, Ian, and

Raven, tired and exhausted. Their eyes barely open.

There are a lot of people inside -- destitute, sick, andtired folks.

Raven holds her cards, unsure.

Ian hands Max a card. Max gets a ten of clubs.

Max hides one of his cards in his back pocket.

A T-rex foot stamps on the ground.

Everyone is asleep. Theyre totally exhausted. Not a personis up --nobody to notice the T-rex squeezing its way intothe stadium.

It gets through the gate and starts exploring. The T-rexgracefully makesits way over to the catering table. Itsticks out its tongue and scoops upthe food, even eating thepackaging.

As it munches down on the snacks, Raven starts to wake up.She rollsto the side on her cot and nudges Max. Thoughbecause of thedarkness, she does not notice the T-rex.

RAVEN(whispering)Max...Max!

MAX (halfasleep)What?

RAVEN I need to go to the

bathroom...Wheres the flashlight?

Max reaches under his cot and pushes out a flashlight. Ravengrabs it.

RAVEN Thanks.

She gets up and turns it on. The light cuts through the dust,creating abeam. Raven wanders with her eyes half-close. TheT-rex turns aroundand sees her. It follows her behind.

RAVEN Wheres the bathroom. Gottabe around here somewhere?

Raven stops walking. She shines her flashlight from side toside. The T-rexs eyes closely follow it. Its vision beingstimulated.

The T-rex steps forward and lowers its head by Raven. Itsnostrils flare as itblows back her hair. Raven turns around, the flashlight pointing straight inthe T-rexs eye.

RAVEN Oh hello...

The T-rex ROARS. Raven drops the flashlight and covers herears.Everyone in the sports stadium wakes up. Grant darts upfrom his cot.

GRANT Raven!

The whole stadium SCREAMS. The T-rex waves its head and ROARS. Allthe people start running. The T-rex swings awayfrom Raven and startschasing the others. It snaps up one ofthe people.

Grant, Ellie, Max, Sasha and Ian stay close together. Theylay low andtry to keep still. Theyre the only ones. Sashais scared out of her wits.

SASHA Why arent we running withtheothers?!

MAX Trust me, my dad knows whathesdoing.

Sasha is on the floor too, lying still. She looks at Grantwho nods his
