Sale will be held in conjunction with the New York Sheep and Wool Festival at the samelocation. The fairgrounds are located to the north of Rhinebeck off Highway 9.
SHOw & SALE ORdER: The show and sale order is by breed in the same order ascataloged. Show order within each breed is yearling ewes, brood ewes, senior ewelambs and junior ewe lambs. Sale order within each breed is determined by show plac-ings.

Banner Sale Management maintains recordson all animals sold through the sale ring for a minimum of five years to be in compliancewith regulations as set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and thePackers and Stockyards Administration.
mAIL BIdS: If you cannot attend the sale in person, a number of individuals willbe able to handle your bids. These include the Sale Manager, Greg Deakin, the auc-tioneers, ringmen and judges. All mail bids must have pre-approval by SaleManagement prior to the start of the sale. All mail bid animals must be paid for with-in 5 days or assessed a 5% fee. The above Buyer Premium applies to all mail bids.Banner Sale Management advises that you contact us well in advance of the sale ifyou are considering using a mail bid at this sale.
TERmS ANd cONdITIONS
TERmS: Cash, check or credit card payment on Sale Day. A 4% conveniencefee will be charged for credit card payment. All purchases are to be settled with theclerks immediately following the sale and before the sheep are removed from thepremises unless arrangements and approval have been made with the SaleManager prior to the sale. The auctioneer’s decision is final on any disputed bids. Allanimals are at purchaser’s risk as soon as sold. A 20% surcharge will be assessedto any insufficient funds check issued. Buyer shall be responsible for any and allcosts of collection, including attorney’s fees. Institutions may pay by requisition.Foreign buyers must pay in U.S. funds. Registration papers will not be transferred tothe new owner until paid in full.
REGISTRATION & HEALTH: All animals are registered. Health papers will be hand-ed out sale day to the new owner upon complete payment of the sheep. Transfer of reg-istration papers will be handled by Banner Sale Management Service after the sale.
TRANSPORTATION: Rides to Louisville, Kentucky may be lined up if notified inadvance. Call for details.
SHIPPING: Each consignor will be responsible for shipping arrangements of sheeppurchased on order. Shipping can be arranged by the Sale Manager by truck to most allsections of the country at very nominal cost if notified in advance of the sale.
ENTRY SUBSTITUTIONS: A bar beneath the number painted on the animal’s backdesignates that it is a substitute entry, meaning the information about the animal is dif-ferent than designated in the catalog. Check with the consignor for complete pedigreeinformation.
NOTIcE: Neither sale management, sale sponsors nor consignors to the saleassume any risk or liability in case of accidents of any kind or losses of any kind to anyperson or persons in attendance at the sale.

1 – Every ewe sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if properly handled. It shall be theresponsibility of the buyer to return the non-breeder to the seller in acceptable breedingcondition. The seller, after a fair trial, and the animal is found to be a non-breeder, shallhave the privilege of replacing the ewe with one of equal value to the satisfaction of theseller, or refunding the purchase price. This guarantee shall not apply the first year toany sheep that are shown subsequent to the date of the sale. All ewe lambs are exemptfrom the breeding guarantee the first year.
2 – Notification of non-breeder ewes must be made to the seller prior to April 1st thefollowing year.
3 – This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller only,and no other parties assume any liability, legal or otherwise, expressed of implied.
4 – Neither the Sale managers nor sponsoring organizations can or will assume anyresponsibility as to the authenticity of the pedigrees, bloodlines, or information providedin the sale catalog, pen cards or otherwise, and the subsequent genetic performance ofany sheep purchased. All such information must be accepted at face value. Any state-ments or information given sale day supersedes cataloged information. Any specialguarantees or claims offered by individual consignors is strictly between the consignorand the buyer, and will not be enforced by the Sale managers or the sponsoring organi-zation.
