Charging• Plug the charging unit (D) into an electrical

outlet and place the handle on the chargingunit.

• A full charge takes 16 hours and will pro-vide an operation time of approximately 20 minutes.

• For everyday use, the handle can be storedon the plugged-in charging unit to maintainthe toothbrush at full power. Overcharging isimpossible.

Battery maintenanceTo maintain the maximum capacity of therechargeable battery, you must discharge it atleast once every 6 months. To do this, unplugthe charging unit and allow the battery to rundown with normal use.

Using the toothbrush• Slide brushhead on handle. • Wet brushhead and apply toothpaste.• Place brushhead on teeth, then switch on.• Move the brushhead in a slightly circular

motion, similar to a manual toothbrush.Allow the longer Interdental bristles to reachbetween your teeth, while the CrissCross™bristles focus on cleaning the tooth surfaceand gumline regions.

• After a few seconds, guide the bristles to the next section.

• After two minutes (brushing time recom-mended by dentists) the timer (S 12513model only) will signal by a short stutter.

• During the first few days of use, it is possiblethat your gums may bleed slightly. Shouldbleeding persist after 2 weeks, contact yourdentist.

• Replace brushhead every 3 months, whenbristles are worn (1c) or when colour onIndicator bristles (1b) has faded half-waydown the bristles.

CleaningAfter use, rinse the brushhead under runningwater (2). Remove the brushhead and rinsebrushhead and handle separately (3), then dry.

GuaranteeWe grant 2 years guarantee on the productcommencing on the date of purchase. Withinthe guarantee period we will eliminate, free ofcharge, any defects in the appliance resultingfrom faults in materials or workmanship, eitherby repairing or replacing the completeappliance as we may choose. This guaranteeextends to every country where this applianceis supplied by Braun or its appointeddistributor.

This guarantee does not cover: damage due toimproper use, normal wear or use, especiallyregarding the brushheads, as well as defectsthat have a negligible effect on the value oroperation of the appliance. The guaranteebecomes void if repairs are undertaken byunauthorised persons and if original Braunparts are not used.

To obtain service within the guarantee period,hand in or send the complete appliance withyour sales receipt to an authorised Oral-BBraun Customer Service Centre.
