• Embedding/de-embedding can also be applied to a calibration, similar to the adapter removal method
• The embedded/de-embedded calibration can be saved onto the VNA hard disk or floppy for future measurements

De-embedding example – On-wafer measurements of a DUT with length of transmission line
• Wafer must also contain a separate similar length transmission line• Perform a calibration, measure the thruline by itself, and save the S2P
file• Measure the DUT and de-embed S2P of transmission line to remove its
