However, I can't do that alone. To put a different spin on a famous phrase made by President Kennedy, "Ask not what our club can do for you. Ask what you can do for our club." For those of you who have been on the board and on committees, I thank you most kindly. For the rest of you, I ask that you become more involved in our club. I do not mean by just attending meetings and hunts. I would like each of you to bring fresh ideas to our meetings ranging from new places to hunt, hunting seminars, guest speakers, etc. Think outside the box. Our club has had many new members join recently. At our last meeting, some of them suggested new ideas. Let's keep the creativity going so that we can anticipate new things, as well as our standard fare. Our club will then grow because we will have more interesting things going on. As we grow, there will again be new ideas suggested - a domino effect. There are many metal detecting clubs out there. We need to make ours unique. Already, we have a film company interested in filming us - not some other club. As all of you know, the focus of our club is to promote metal detecting, educate the uninformed, be good Samaritans and to promote fellowship. I know that each of you adheres to these goals. Keep it up. I am here for each of you. If you need assistance with anything, have a suggestion, or even have a problem that you feel you can't discuss with anyone else, I am available at any time to lend an ear. Again, thank you for your vote of confidence in me. I won't let you down.
