The Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World was founded in Morocco

(1987), with members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in attendance. The

ultimate aim of the organization is to support universities and higher education institutions

to train both wise and qualified human resources to serve the Islamic nations. Since its

inception, over 200 universities from the four corners of the world have joined the

association.

Founded in 1950, International Association of Universities is one of the most

reputable university associations. Its mission is based on the principles of the right to gain

knowledge and tolerating differing views and avoiding involvement in political disputes.

Founded in 1965, at Oxford University in Britain, International Association of

University Presidents' primary mission is to improve the quality of higher education. IAUP

also sets out to promote global awareness and competence as well as peace and

international understanding through education.

Founded in Dusseldorf, Germany in May 1955, International Association of

Scientific & Technological University Libraries (IATUL) provides the possibilities for

members to participate in annual conferences, combine the efforts to create synergies,

develop collaborative approaches to solve common problems, encourage international

cooperation as well as establish a worldwide library network.

The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific has contributed to the

strengthening of the international mission and quality of education of its member

institutions and has grown to become an association of around 600 members from over

100 countries.

Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning founded in 1956

at Thailand. The President of IAU was elected as a member in the ASAIHL's Board of

Trustees as the only representative of I .R. Iran, among the 179 members in this

association.

Iranian International Studies Association founded on 2 December 2007, in Tehran.

The objectives of this association in the field of Int'l relations are as follows: Development

& research for the promotion of cooperation between academic researchers and

establishing constructive interaction within scientific centers as well as cooperation

among associations inside & outside the country.

AfghaSince the medium of instruction is Persian, students are required to have a good

command of the language prior to attending the classes. Intensive Persian courses

with good command of Persian must take a language proficiency test held by the

university, prior to the formal registration in a degree program. For further information,

The Islamic Azad University thrives on providing a safe environment for students and their

families. Most of our branches currently offer dormitory facilities, either on properties

owned by the Islamic Azad University or on properties we have rented in order to provide

dormitory facilities to our students. There is an office tasked with ensuring constant and

continuous supervision and offers necessary training to relevant authorities in order to

improve the quality of residences offered to the students.

A limited number of dormitories are available in our campuses for the utilization of Iranian

and foreign students, which are to be allocated on the first come, first serve basis.

Applicants from foreign nationalities could study at IAU according to the rules and

regulations, with or without participating in the nationwide entry examination.

- To facilitate visa for faculty members and students to participate in international

academic activities abroad;

- To publish the University’s packages in English;

- To organize meetings with authorities of foreign universities.
