• Net farm income in the EU is getting a boost from the world’s demand for cereal grains.

• Farmers will look at short term ways to invest in productive and efficient equipment to maximize profitability in tough environment and reduce taxation. (Case IH) 

• The price of wheat reached two year highs in 2010 after Russia, the world’s third largest wheat producer, shut-off exports to the world.

• Overall cereal production in the EU in 2010 was below 2009 but better than the 5 year average. (Case IH)
