Unfortunately he is unable to. - Tom Saunders (Uni) was contacted. I believe you have also been in contact with Tom, he may be able to help. If you continue to contact Tom directly he should be able to support you further. - Jamie Ings (SU) may be able to provide you with some quotes for purchasing bags, however these quotes may not be any cheaper than what you have looked at. You might want to get in contact with Kelly Collins, she is the President of the SIFE (Enactus) Society which runs enterprising student projects. She may have some good ideas or the SIFE team may have some other good contacts they could pass on to you. She is a student and contactable on the uni system. Hope that helps! Hi Laura,

We didn't order tote bags this year, we ordered bio-degradable plastic bags instead. would you liketo know what we got for that? I can certainly introduce to the supplier and encourage them to offera discount.

Let me know.

thanks,

Hi Jamie

Please could you let me know the quote you received on tote bags for Freshers this year - whatwas the total cost per bag? A student is looking for our support in buying some tote bags and Iwondered whether we managed to get a discount or whether we are friendly with a supplier thatcould offer us bags at a discount price?

Thanks

Hi Laura, I’m doing BA Fine Art at Solent and my work is based on environmental issues and mass consumption throughkind of installation and action. I recently started an online petition to implement a charge on single use carrierbags in England as in Wales. This must get 100,000 in a year to be considered. As part of my work/in support ofthis petition I have a plan to give out tote bags in West Quay, attached to them; a business card with a link to thepetition. It also serves a good purpose in Southampton's’ height area of consumption. The problem I face isbuying 100 plus tote bags works out at about £1 per bag and I do not have that to spare.I was wondering if the SU(/Solent) have any tote bags with Solent logo on? Perhaps left over from freshers fair? Or if you have any ideaswhere I could get some? Or if there is the possibility of a work related grant? Thank youLibby Russell
