The following different room categories have been identified to accommodate Heads of State or Government or Heads of Delegations:
The South African Government will offer the following hospitality to all Heads of State or Government attending the Conference:
• One Presidential/ suite for each Head of State or Government – depending on availability.
• In addition to the cost of accommodation, the South African Government will also meet the personal expenses of Heads of State or Government in respect of:
• Meals and beverages.
• Laundry and dry-cleaning services.
• Telephone and facsimile calls within South Africa.
• Two additional rooms only
• These services are provided to Heads of State or Government from the day of arrival in Durban until the day of departure.
• All other expenses will be for the account of each delegation.
The South African Government will make available a total of 5 rooms to each of the delegations attending the conference (at delegations expense) in the mentioned HQ hotels. The accommodation will consist of:
• One suite/ executive room for each Head of Delegation.
• Four standard type rooms.• In addition one Security Officer and one Liaison Officer for each delegation
in the HQ hotel (allocated close to the delegation).
• All other expenses including the cost of accommodation will be for the account of each delegation.
Additional accommodation will be made available
to delegations, however, this may not be in
the same hotel.
