“The elements that are important to include in a CV are

a photo, nationality with passports and languages.

The CV has to be clear with dates, divided into sections with titles,

and using bullet points. Grammar mistakes are not acceptable.”

Agata Sawa – Borysławska,

Beware of grammar mistakes

“When actively searching for a job, we

recommend to do a previous analysis of the

market, carefully selecting companies that

have positions that are of interest to the

jobseeker, either by sector, industry or area

where the roles are of interest to the

candidate.

Additionally, If you have been cited for an

interview with someone from HR, it is

important to know the company; check their

website, investigate about their mission,

vision, values and other policies.”

Jessica Sobrino

Select companies carefully

“You should be able to create/do things

that provide value. What are you making

better, reducing, creating or increasing?

Prioritize quality over quantity and above

all, although it may be logical or evident:

listen very well to the questions and

answer what the company really needs to

know about you.”

Nuria Castellana

Prioritise quality

“Be yourself and be confident and sure

you are an interesting person! The

recruiter might think of himself/herself

with you in different situations, for

example: stuck in an airport, will he

appreciate the time there with you or

will he get more frustrated? Prove to

him/her you are interesting and

someone cool to be around!”

Carlos Valcarcel

Be yourself!

“Consider moving from one side of Europe to the

other. Maybe you will not receive as high a salary in

Eastern countries but life is much cheaper so

proportionally you will have same conditions.

Companies in the East many times offer entry-level

positions and provide employees with full

professional training. Then well trained person

with 1-2 years of experience and recognized

certificates (released by Microsoft etc.) have much

more opportunities to find good job in any

country.”

Georgij Ivanov

Be willing to relocate

“Send your CV as a PDF-File! - looks planned and nothing is shifted.

Focus on the important information, don´t pack in every 8th grade dance course

certificate.

The official picture should not be a “Selfie” it should be a decent picture

that “invites” companies to check your CV.

No references that are older than 5 years”

“For the interview: Sounds like a cliché

but “be yourself”. Talk friendly and

honest about every topic that belongs to

the job interview but shorten or skip

parts, that doesn´t matter. If you are not

understanding the question, don´t go in

circles, ask the Recruiter to repeat it. Try

to pack the position in a “history” of your

former work experience and point it out

as the next obvious step.”

Marta Lotoszyńska
