gehalte te evalueer. Die seleksies het bestaan uit 33 uit die LNR se teelprogram, elf seleksies van Bavaria en vier van
ander produsente.
Sommige van die seleksies wat uitgestaan het en wat belofte vir die mangobedryf toon, is seleksies CH30-G52753,
CH31-M17&18, CH31-P11&12, CH32-E7, C5-O3 en CH31-N7&8.

IN THE COURSE of allocating projects for the Post Harvest
Innovation (PHI) Fund, some of the industries involved
withdrew from the programme, effectively freeing up some
funds for other research projects. The Fresh Produce Export-
ers’ Forum subsequently approached several industry organ-
isations, including Subtrop, to find out whether these funds

could be allocated to potential projects in the pipeline. The
result was additional funding for three research projects; of
which two are co-funded through the PHI programme.
A survey to determine research projects for next year’s re-
search cycle was done at all four SAAGA study groups. Survey
forms are steadily coming in and there are already several
topics that have been identified as priorities. A call for research
proposals has been sent out and forthcoming proposals will be
evaluated by the SAAGA Research Committee.
