GEARHARTThe EliminatorOne-Cone Bit

• The One-Cone bit includes the same proven technology utilized in RBI-Gearhart journal bearing motor bits that feature the patented Reaming Gage® and fully-floating Journal Bearing. Diamond enhanced inserts are utilized in critical rows to maintain gage diameter.

• Additional features not found in any other slim hole bit that increase the bit's durability over conventional three-cone bits: The cone/seal speed is approximately ½ that of a three-cone bit. For example:

• Bit Speed: 300 RPMThree-Cone Bit Cone/Seal Speed: 450 RPM One-Cone Bit Cone/Seal Speed: 225 RPM

• The cone is significantly larger than those of a three-cone bit. The bearing capacity is significantly higher than those for a three-cone bit. The inserts are larger and tougher than a comparable three-cone bit, which allows longer bit life under higher applied loads in harder formations.

• Availability: Bit sizes 3 ½" through 6 ½ in. and IADC codes 4-3-7 through 8-3-7

Bi-Center Tools Concept

• A new family of Bi-Center tools have been developed to match all the new requirements of the oil industry.

• Application: Vertical holeDeviated hole

• Hardness:Any IADC Code

• Combination:Any combination TCI-PDC is possible

• Diameters:Available in any diameter, also non conventional ones; for each application the ratios between pilot and reamer section has to be determinate

Loose Cone Indicator

A hole is bored from the cone pocket to the ID bore. A threaded sleeve is welded in place. A hollow abradable steel cannister is screwed into the sleeve. Upon loss of the cone bearing the innermost insert row will cut the cannister, causing a loss in standpipe pressure.
