Apparently, simpler image and smaller size image will bring faster image decoding. Image format of ZTE IP STB for fastest decoding is GIF format,then JPG, the last is PNG.
ZTE has extensive experience in live networks on how to optimize EPG pages to lower the complexity of the script and image. Page loading time is 1 second in normal network, in ZTE commercial IPTV project.

at this delay, ZTE adopts a patent ‐‐‐slow A/V sync technician. While STB receives the Audio package, it will display the video without waiting the synchro video package. As the figure on right.
No RTSP process for multicast
In normal way, not only for multicast, but also for VOD, STB must set up link though RTSP. But in ZTE solution, for the multicast program, we already send “program list” to STB at first, while users switch another program, STB will add into the new multicast group directly, without re‐direction, we can omit the RTSP process for multicast program, so it can reduce the waiting time of channel change.

Since we save the last frame of the previous channel before switching, until STB receives code stream from the new channel, which eliminates black‐screen caused by switching channel in the past.. Therefore from the view of user experience, the switch time will be shortened.
