Dear Colleague,

Since its inception, we have worked endlessly to get the

Gulf Glass brand into Dubai, and provide you the exhibitor

with the best possible, highest profile regional – and global

– profile. Therefore it is with It is with great pleasure that I

can unveil that the next Gulf Glass exhibition, the 5th in the

biennial series, will be moving to an exciting new location

and timeslot, namely the Dubai World Trade Centre, 3-5

September 2013. Dubai serves as a focal point for a region

that extends right across North Africa, East Africa, the

Arabian Peninsula and on into Iran and Central Asia. As

the only truly pan-Middle Eastern show for the entire glass

industry, Gulf Glass is the perfect opportunity for you to

maintain and improve your presence in the market.

Following four successful outings in Sharjah, UAE, and Abu

to a completely new level, whilst the timeslot will ensure that

it does not just appeal to visitors from the region, but also

those looking for a global meeting place.

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is poised

for an exciting period of growth, and Gulf Glass 2013 will

ensure you have the opportunity to access it first hand, in a

dedicated glass industry atmosphere.

Yours sincerely

Dubai: a global meeting place in the heart of a dynamic region

Gulf Glass 2013: Dubai World Trade Centre

Committed to the region...committed to you!The Gulf Glass series of events in the UAE brings you, the exhibitor, other benefits aside from a highly receptive Middle East and North African (MENA) audience. Right around the region, there is rapid expansion as economies recover, and business attitudes change. Gulf Glass is the most respected glass exhibition series in the region and is the one show you can be sure that all those related to glass production and consumption put right at the top of their “Must Attend” list. The exhibition continues to provide the only “one-stop” glass event in the entire Middle East, backed by media with a long term commitment to the region, and not just a “here today, gone tomorrow” approach.

1. Leading locationThe Dubai World Trade Centre is the leading exhibition venue in the entire Middle East, guaranteeing a high quality experience for both exhibitor and visitor alike. What is more, Dubai is renowned for its excellent facilities for business and leisure, and is often referred to as a global business crossroads, with easy, direct air access to locations right around the World. This puts Gulf Glass 2013 within reach of glass industry professionals not just from the MENA region, but companies right around the globe, all of whom will appreciate a new, easy to reach meeting place that has the double advantage of being situated in the beating heart of a dynamic growth region. 4. Quality prospects

The Gulf Glass series already has the largest number of glass industry professional visitors, all of whom are of the highest quality. Moving time and location, will undoubtedly raise this number even more, in addition to spreading the appeal far beyond the borders of the region on which it is focused. Gulf Glass provides an environment in which deals get done. With burgeoning demand and growth forecasts that far exceed the rates for industries in other regions, MENA is a place to see, and be seen.

3. High profileA year round website presence, and constant media support of the official publication – Asian Glass – means that Gulf Glass 2013 will rarely be far from the industry’s thoughts. In addition an extensive global visitor promotion campaign across multiple media platforms will make Gulf Glass 2013 a fixture in the diary of companies right around the World. The Gulf Glass series provides the only totally-dedicated glass focus in the region, ensuring you, the exhibitor, has a constant, high quality series of visitors. Why get lost in a general event, when Gulf Glass provides the industry focus you need?

2. Great timingRelocating Gulf Glass to September puts a full year between itself and Glasstec, providing an annual option for companies the World over needing to network with the industry’s leading suppliers of materials and technology. In addition, the 2013 edition will come at a time when the MENA region will have emerged from a period of immense change. This has put MENA firmly back on the map as a destination in which the business environment has greatly improved, with many analysts marking it the region with the most potential in the remainder of the next decade. Demand for glass products is set to soar, and you can be there, in the centre of the action.

5. Five star serviceGulf Glass 2013 will be the fifth event in the series, demonstrating our long term commitment to the region, and the glass industry as a whole. The event provides the only totally glass focused show for the entire region: putting MENA under the microscope. Right from the outset, exhibitors at Gulf Glass get maximum exposure through our dedicated website, and publication, as well as getting the opportunity to feature in our press release programme. Being onboard for Gulf Glass gives you, the exhibitor, the highest possible profile from the moment you reserve your space, right up until the show itself. This is the Gulf Glass pledge.

In addition to the excellent networking opportunities offered by the Gulf Glass exhibition, why not maximise your presence across the entire region and further afield for a full 18 months? Unlike other exhibitions that do not offer the same level of “connected” marketing that we can, Gulf Glass provides a wide range of tailored packages.

ALL EXTRA MARKETING CAN BE BUILT INTO YOUR OVERALL EXHIBITION

• For example, exhibitors can choose to take:

Running alongside Gulf Glass 2013, will be a dedicated section to the region’s solar industry.

The rapidly expanding markets for the entire Maghreb region mean that the demand for solar modules, mirrors, heaters and glass is experiencing a huge acceleration in demand.vBy dedicating part of the floor space to the solar industry, under the banner “GulfSol 2013”, we will be able to ensure that the synergies between the glass and solar industry are truly maximised, and therefore create an even better visitor and exhibitor experience. As the only dedicated Middle Eastern solar event, this new section for the Gulf Glass show will once again augment the overall profile of the show, and increase its appeal to not just a regional, but global audience. The MENA region is geographically well positioned to exploit significant solar energy and governments from Morocco to the UAE, have declared their intention to undertake large-scale investment and commit to a solar powered future. Each square kilometre of land in the region receives solar energy equivalent to 1.5 million barrels of crude oil every year. According to International Energy Agency (IEA), concentrated solar power (CSP) plantsin the region could cater to 100 times the combined electricity consumption of the MENA and European regions together. A study

on renewable energy potential in the MENA region by the

German Aerospace Center (DLR) estimates that CSP and PV plants are likely to provide for about half the region’s electrical production by 2050 from a total of 390 GW CSP capacities.MENA has excellent physical resources for solar power generationMENA, with average daily sunlight exceeding 8.8 hours, low cloud covers, limited rainfall and abundant free land space, offers optimal physical resources for the construction of large-scale solar power plants. The region’s average daily sunshine hours are greater than those of countries such as Germany, France and Spain that are already utilizing solar energy. The GCC, with average daily sunlight of more than nine hours, scores higher than the other MENA countries, and hence has significant potential for solar energy generation. The MENA region also has abundant land area that is ideal for the construction of large-scale solar projects; an average 91% of the land in the region is non-arable.The options for glass technology companies looking to supply equipment, knowledge and technical expertise to this emergent sector are considerable, and the Gulf Glass and GulfSol combination is the only focused event guaranteed to put YOU at the forefront. To request a space within the GulfSol 2013 area of the floorplan, simply contact us directly, or indicate this on your booking form.
