ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Prof Ajit Salunke Presently Associate Professor & HOD of Mechanical Engineering Department, DBCE. He has a BE in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and is pursuing PhD from VTU. With 20 years of professional experience, he has organized more than 60 workshops/seminars and delivered invited talks on Automation, Robotics, Virtual Instrumentation in various Industries and institutes. He has 24 National & International Research publications. He is the recipient of CSI Tech Next Award for “Best HOD of the Year” in the year 2017.

Presently working as Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at CIIRC, Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru He is a teacher of rapid prototyping to the students of Under Graduate and Post Graduate level guiding a PhD student in 3D Printing of Dental Implants. He has the experience of working in various segments of Rapid Prototyping and Laser Technology based on different materials used for product development at CMTI and is currently working on FDM at CIIRC. His current research focuses on fabrication of prototypes, especially applied to medical devices and detectors.

Mr Ryan Vaz

Presently working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Belgavi has a B.E degree in Industrial Production, M.Tech in Production Management and Phd from VTU. He has 28 National & International Research publications including 2 book chapters, 5 SCI papers with more than 50 citations. He has co-authored two books and has been Invited as a resource person in foundries and in other technical events. He is a Reviewer for Journals like Archieves of foundry engineering, Elsevier etc. and Editorial board member of International Journal of Futures Research and Development. He has 10 years of teaching experience.
