ABUNDANT U.S. MINERAL RESOURCES

Despite more than $6.2 trillion in mineral reserves, the U.S. is currently 100% import-dependent for 17 key minerals and more than 50% reliant for another 29. The U.S. must secure its mineral supply chains and encourage greater domestic production to address our crumbling infrastructure. Broken mine permitting policies keep these minerals locked underground and continue our dependence on foreign producers. It’s time for America to rebuild our infrastructure with American minerals. Let’s fix what is broken and build back better while creating high-paying U.S. jobs.

America’s tunnels, roads and bridges are crumbling. In 2021, the U.S. received a C– in the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Infrastructure Report Card.1 To repair and modernize our infrastructure,

we need bold investments, starting with a large and stable supply of domestically-sourced minerals.
