City Approves $20,000 Economic Incentive Grant forNew Two‑Story Office Building
Friendswood Professional Building B Lifestyle Financial Advisors, Inc. Friendswood City Council recently approved a $20,000 economic incentive grantto Lifestyle Financial Advisors, Inc. for the construction of a new twostory,10,050 square foot office building at 211 W. Edgewood Drive. The moderncontemporary building design will be strategically placed between three matureoak trees existing on the property in order to preserve these sixty to eighty yearold trees. The new $1.95 million building will be occupied by Lifestyle FinancialAdvisors, Inc. and employ 12 persons. Since 2008, the City has awarded $160,000 to businesses through the Chapter380 Municipal Grant Program which, in turn, has created $14.45 million in newtaxable value, added 96,310 square feet of commercial space, and created orretained 172 jobs in the city. New 14,000 Square Foot Office Building Breaks Ground
Friendswood Professional Building A Dr. Raj Bhalla is constructing a new onestory 14,000 square foot professional office building at 215 W.Edgewood, adjacent to Lifestyle Financial Advisors. Dr. Bhalla plans to occupy 4,000 square feet and lease theremaining 10,000 square feet in the building.

Alan and Beth Stanfield originally founded Stanfield Properties in 1998 as aproperty management and investment company. They built it into thesuccessful business it is today by offering a full range of residential andcommercial sales, leasing, and listing services. Located at 807 S.Friendswood Drive, Stanfield Properties occupies 3,600 square feet andemploys seventeen real estate agents. Their downtown office wasprofessionally designed and decorated to make it feel like a home whereboth real estate agents and clients feel comfortable when collaborating tobuy or sell. Alan said, "Between the school district, law enforcement, andhometown atmosphere, we wouldn't have dreamt of opening our office
anywhere else." The two met while attending the University of Houston and participating in the UH's Marching Band. After theymarried, Alan worked as the vice president for Texas Bay Area Credit Union in Pasadena managing real estateloans while Beth worked for First American Title Insurance Company as their associate state sales director. Alan said, "Beth and I know all ends of the real estate spectrum from contracts and loans to closings at the titlecompany. We have worked towards our current jobs our entire lives, I suppose." Real estate runs deep in thisfamily. Alan's aunt and uncle are Joe and Margaret Tramonte, owners of Joe Tramonte Realty in Galveston.Additionally, Alan's grandparents were the owners of many rental properties which is where he spent many dayshanging out while repairs were being made for future tenants.
Alan has a passionfor real estate whichhe believes hasmade StanfieldProperties what it istoday. In 2014, theStanfield Teamclosed 114transactions for atotal sales volumeof $29.5 million. Ofthose sales, 55percent were frombuyers and 45percent were fromsellers. Last yearwas an amazingyear for StanfieldProperties. This year, they are on track to close 140 transactions for a totalsales volume of approximately $36 million. The Stanfields made their first home purchase in Friendswood in 1995 and are currently enjoying their fourth home here with their three children. Thecouple continues to lead as well as serve their community. Alan is on theboard of the FISD Education Foundation, and Beth leads the women'sministry for the Friendswood Friends Church. Since 1998, Alan and Beth
have been members of the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce and have earned many accolades throughoutthe years such as the prestigious Texas Monthly Magazine's "2014 Five Star Professional Award in RealEstate." Also, Stanfield Properties was recognized as one of the best places to work in 2014 and they wererecognized as best realtor for five continuous years by Friendswood/Pearland Journal readers. Alan wasawarded with the Houston Association of Realtors NextGen Realty Group's, "Top 20 under 40 Realtors in theHouston Market" in 2011. It is evident that both Alan and Beth commit 110 percent of themselves to makeFriendswood a better place.
