Carlos Javier Sarasa Maestro / Technical Director / NextEnergy CapitalCarlos Javier is an experienced engineer in renewable energy in general. After one year researching new inverter technics for wind turbines, Carlos

Javier has been focused the last 10 years designing, constructing and researching PV markets, on both the technical and financial side. He has

over 12 years in Engineering, negotiation and strategic sales, with in excess of £550m in deals originated and/or delivered across Spain, United

Kingdom and Italy on clean energy. Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, executive MBA and finishing PhD are the academic education. He has

designed and built more than 200 MW in his professional life in ground mount. Also he is very experienced in roof mount with a portfolio of more

than 5 MW in different roofs.

Alexander Harssema / Partner / GreensolverAlexander is one of Greensolver’s Partner and oversees the strategy in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. He also acts as our construction

expert for wind & solar farms construction. Alexander benefits from a solid experience in the field of renewables energies, working in the industry

since 2007 and previous in the diesel engine applications. Alexander is graduated with a bachelor degree in operational engineering from the

Hanze Hoge school Groningen and is a qualified nautical engineer.

Ingmar Kruse / CEO / SunSniffer GmbH & Co. KGSince the early 80s he develops innovative technology. In 1983, a year before his graduation, he founded his first company, “Image Processing

Technologies”. After his studies of Business Administration in Nuremberg and Computer Science in Atlanta, USA, he devoted himself entirely to

the development of new technologies and their market introduction. In 1989 he introduced the first color scanner in the market, launched the first

color management system “Color Storm” in 1993, and in 1997 developed the ColorProof Software, the first digital color simulation software.

In 1996 he received a rare license from Apple for the production of Apple computers. Since 2002 he is in photovoltaic industry and due to

experiences and challenges with own PV plants he developed with SunSniffer the first Operating System for solar modules, which makes them

intelligent. He holds several patents in different fields, including photovoltaics.

Michael Schmela / Executive Advisor / SolarPower EuropeMichael Schmela is the Executive Advisor to the CEO and a member of the leadership team of SolarPower Europe, the European association of

the solar power sector. He is also the head of the lobby group’s market intelligence team and is the lead author of the annually published 5-year

Global Market Outlook. From Dec. 2015 to Dec. 2017, he was Executive Advisor to the 1st Chairman of the Global Solar Council, the world’s

PV association, which was founded during COP21 in Paris. Schmela has been working in the solar industry for over 20 years. After co-founding

Photon-Magazine in 1996, he served in various positions in the Photon group, primarily as Editor-in-Chief of Photon International. In 2014,

Schmela started MISCHCO, a company offering strategy consulting and communication services to solar companies. In 2016, TaiyangNews, a

digital news platform for the solar industry that Schmela founded, went online. TaiyangNews focuses on publishing reports and market surveys on

PV technology. Schmela studied Geology/Palaeontology at Bonn University, Geology at RWTH Aachen, and Mineralogy at Frankfurt University.

Constantinos Peonides / Director / Alectris Constantinos is Director at Alectris since 2014. He previously worked as the Sales Manager for a large International Group as well as the Business

development Manager for a smaller local group of companies. Currently leading all Alectris’ efforts including operations and maintenance ,

promoting of Alectris ERP called Actis, promoting , marketing and distributing New Technology Products and offering various consultancy services

in the Middle East and Asia markets with particular emphasis on Alectris India. He holds an undergraduate degree in Materials Engineering from

the University of Nottingham and an MBA.

François Sonnet / Co-Founder and Solcrypto Advisor / ElectriCChain François graduated with a Masters in Finance (hons) from ICHEC Brussels Management School and is an expert in Renewable Energy Business

Development, having co-founded Belgium’s N°1 award-winning solar installer SunSwitch SA in 2007 at a time of little focus for Renewables

outside of Germany, and acting as its Chief Strategist, helping it build up to +90 employees and +20MEur Turnover in under 30months.

François made his first steps at Euronext NV and the Audit Firm PwC in Luxemburg and has extensively traveled. François currently works as a

solar consultant on projects, advising towards several solar fields. François also advises Solcrypto and affiliates to the SolarCoin Foundation on

Business Development with the SolarCoin Digital Asset and developing Blockchain tools to initiate the clean Energy Transition. ElectriCChain is a

Robin Hirschl / Managing Director / ENcome Energy Performance GmbHDr. Robin Hirschl studied physics in Vienna, Austria, and Lyon, France, and holds a PhD in Computational Materials Science from Vienna

University. He started his career at Booz Allen Hamilton (today Strategy&), joining the European Utilities Team, where he lead energy projects

throughout Europe as Senior Project Manager. Since 2007 he has held management positions at Kioto Photovoltaics and KPV Solar, before

cofounding ENcome Energy Performance, offering professional technical services to PV power plants across Europe and Australia. He acts as

Managing Director since June 2012. From 2014 until 2017 he was also member of the Supervisory Board of Kioto Clear Energy AG.

Susanne von Aichberger / Senior Analyst / IHS Markit Susanne von Aichberger has been a PV market and technology analyst since 2005. She is responsible for primary research and analysis concerning

the photovoltaic downstream industry, specializing in markets in Europe. She has previously worked as technical editor for Photon International.

James Page / Head of Engineering / Joju Solar James studied Engineering with Economics and Industrial Sociology at Cambridge University and is a chartered engineer. After a career in

telecoms, he joined Joju Solar in 2009 and now manages a wide range of commercial projects and research. He chaired the Climate Change

Task Group for the London Borough of Richmond.

Christian Shuster / Co-Founder and CEO / ucair GmbH Christian Shuster is Co-Founder and CEO of ucair GmbH, which envisions a world where not a single sun ray is wasted because of unmaintained

solar cells. ucair utilizes the most recent developments in drones and sensors to make the inspection of photovoltaic plants easier, faster and more

transparent for owners and operators. Being a platform and owning no drones, ucair uses a steadily growing drone pilot network of more than

40 pilots to match customers with inspection needs to a drone pilot nearby. The ucair service goes beyond mere matching, though, as it post-

processes and analyzes the data gathered by the pilots together with a network of seasoned PV experts to deliver a high-quality and standardized

report for the customer. Before co-founding ucair, Christian was part of a small team which designed and developed the innogy Innovation Hub,

which aims to develop new business models for the utility sector. Prior to that, he worked in the strategy consulting area and co-founded a social

business creating hundreds of jobs for South African female hand-crafters. Christian holds a Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from the

University of St.Gallen, Switzerland and was studied in Johannesburg, South Africa and Trento, Italy.

Geoff Hoffheinz / Technical Manager / Glennmont PartnersGeoff joined Glennmont Partners in 2013, bringing to the team over 20 years of international technical experience in renewable energy

development, operation, maintenance, due diligence, advisory and asset management experience to the company with experience in Solar, Wind,

Hydro and Biomass technologies. Geoff works within the Asset Management Team of Glennmont Partners, responsible for the technical issues

on the operational plants in the fund and also overseeing the construction projects within the fund. Prior to moving to the Northern Hemisphere,

Geoff was the Chief Production Engineer on a 1GW river chain of hydro in New Zealand.

Nicolas Gourvitch / Director / Green GiraffeNicolas Gourvitch is a founder of Green Giraffe, a financial advisory boutique specialised in renewables with 75 employees in 5 offices in Europe

and South Africa. Nicolas heads Green Giraffe’s solar department and also covers most of the French transactions of the company. Before

founding Green Giraffe, Nicolas spent 5 years as a project finance banker in the renewable sector.

Rubén Ron / Head of Section Solar / DNV GL - Energy Mr. Ruben Ron has been working in Solar Power Technology for more than 11 years. Currently he is leading the Solar Section in DNV GL Iberia

where he is responsible for international business development, providing technical assistance and developing internal tools and procedures. He is

responsible for engineering and consulting services for a wide range of Customers. At DNV GL, Ruben has been working on various solar projects

involving technical due diligence, independent review, project construction monitoring, and developing testing procedures for parabolic trough

plants, to name a few. Previously he worked at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction Company where he was responsible for solar resource

and site assessment, design, engineering and project development for solar plants. Additionally, he worked in the O&M department where he

was responsible supporting the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance activities for solar Plants. He was also involved in R&D Projects and

simulation tools for solar technology.

Julian Watson / Senior Principal Analyst, IoT / IHS MarkitJulian Watson is the senior principal analyst of Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity research at IHS Markit. He is responsible for analyzing IoT

technologies, applications and business models. Prior to this, Julian was Director of Operators research with IHS Technology’s Mobile and Telecom

Antonio Alcaro / Operation and Maintenance Manager / Renesola UK Ltd As CEO and Technical Director at Eco-Logico, in Italy, on 2006, Antonio had experience in residential and commercial plants, primarily on

photovoltaic, but also solar thermal and wind. From 2009 Antonio worked as Technical Project Manager in Large PV plants at Austrian Enviro

Technologies, before in Italy, with a pipeline of 80 MWp and since 2013 in UK, at Lightsource, with an extensive knowledge of renewables

markets and a professional network, spreading in all Europe. Currently Antonio Alcaro is working at Renesola UK in London as Operation

and Maintenance Manager, in charge to all the ground mounted PV plants built by Renesola since 2015 and more than 1500 residential and

commercial PV plants. During the last years Antonio has been responsible for the maintenance of complex project portfolios, structuring and

managing the deal under all the aspects, including the data management and monitoring equipment. Before to start his career in alternative

energy, Antonio graduated from Modena University, with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

Sarah Barber / Senior Engineer, Project Engineering / DNV GLSarah is a Technical Lead within DNV GL’s Renewable Energy Analytics department with a focus on analysis of operational solar plant. She has

advised owners and investors of some of the UK’s largest solar PV portfolios and has been involved with a wide range of data analysis, solar

and wind energy monitoring and long term energy forecasting services. Sarah joined DNV GL in 2008 and has worked in renewable energy

engineering consultancy for more than 14 years. Her experience ranges from design and installation management of solar PV projects, technical

due diligence assessments, wind and solar resource and energy production assessments both pre-construction and operational.

Olivier Martin / Senior Data Scientist / EngieOlivier Martin is a Senior Data Scientist, working for Engie since 2010. Owner of Master in Electrical Engineering, a post-graduate degree in

Business & Administration and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, he is currently leading the data science activities of Tractebel Energy Transition

(Engie). His main projects involve machine learning applied to renewable energies or connected home devices.
