But what if the students APsuccess goes beyond written texts tosomething even more tangible? Thisworkshop will share the social experiences,including field trips, museum and hands onexplorations that also enhance students'grasp of literary content and promote equityat a much deeper level. We will also discussways to gain funding for these resources forour students.

Want to know how to leadstudents to create compelling digitalcompositions even though you may not havea lot of resources? Ms. Carryer, a second-year teacher at Oakland Technical HighSchool, will share her classroom units on using podcasts to bridge history and Englishstandards. Participants will leave withconcrete technology tools and lessonexamples that can be adapted for their ownpractice.
Led by David Cole of NexMap, this special workshop will emergeeducators in digital notebooking, including paper circuitry. Viapartnership with the National Writing Project, Letters 2 the NextPresident bridges maker movement with civic engagement and literacy.
