THEME: Daring to give God my best
STEP UP, STEP OUT, BE BOLD. This week looks at being the best that we can be, and teaches us how to give our very best to God.
The first request of persecuted Christians is
always, “Please pray for us!” Your prayers
can have a powerful impact in the lives of
persecuted Christians.
Make prayer for the persecuted church a regular
part of your personal prayer life. Speak up for
persecuted Christians and encourage your church
to commit to pray for the persecuted church.

dedicated to helping, loving and encouraging the

Read Proverbs 3:9-10. It tells us to honour God by giving him the first and best part of everything. What does giving your best to God mean to you?
Many of us have comfortable lives in today’s world while some are still persecuted and abused. What is important enough to you to die for?
“Live a life of sacrificial love just like Christ loved us and gave himself as an offering and sacrifice for us.” - Ephesians 5:2
Who would you sacrifice for? Why would you sacrifice yourself for others?
“As Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become entangled in the affairs of this life, wasting time, for then you can’t please your commanding officer who enlisted you in his army.”
- 2 Timothy 2:4 (NIV/NLT)
What distractions are you caught up in that you can you live without? What can you let go of to spend more time giving God your best?
Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-13. How can you plant seeds of love, faith, and grace?
A thought for your consideration: The people we are most influenced by, and can most
influence, are our closest friends and family. Consider this week how you are impacting each
other in regards to giving God your best; are you good influences in working towards this,
or do you need to make some changes?
for your highs and lows, for your family, and for the world. one another with words of encouragement for this week.
Mealtime prayer
Great God, giver of all good; accept our praise
and bless our food. Guide us Lord, every day;
the path is narrow, you are the way.
Amen.
Memory verse
And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to his
purpose.
