WHAT IS PORCELAIN TILE?

THICKER ultra-thick porcelain pavers are outdoor tiles with the same benefits as regular porcelain offers; a blend of design, versatility, superior performance, simplicity of installation and eco-sustainability. Unlike concrete, stone or hardwood, THICKER porcelain tiles have guaranteed results. There are no special treatments required; porcelain pavers are highly resistant to chemicals, mold and mildew, and are easy to maintain over time.

THICKER is the 2CM ultra-thick porcelain tile suitable for any outdoor flooring application. Its density, resistance to the elements, superior load and breaking strength, and ease of installation make it the perfect solution when a high-performance material is required. Add to that the aesthetic benefit of HDP–High Definition Porcelain® graphics that make modern porcelain indistinguishable from natural materials, without the headache of sealing to protect your surface. THICKER is the right choice for all residential and commercial outdoor spaces.

Easy to install! Because of its density and size, THICKER can be dry installed. This means that when the substrate allows, installers can forego the adhesives or mortar/cement bases. It can be dry installed on grass, gravel, or with a raised support system, that conceals yet provides access to wiring or irrigation systems. These installation methods offer the additional advantage of removing and reusing the pavers. Of course, it can be installed with the traditional adhesives if the substrate requires it. The technical benefits of porcelain are unbeatable! These ultra-thick structural paving slabs can stand up to extreme residential and commercial environments. THICKER will outperform all other surface options, it can tolerate both subzero temperatures and tropical climates without cracking or weakening. The porcelain manufacturing process creates a product that is virtually non-porous and incredibly dense. It is strong enough to survive under the weight of a commercial fleet and is practically maintenance free – no sealants are required.

The possibility of calculating the joint means that it is easier to integrate with the surrounding nature and the architectural and aesthetic setting.

DRY LAYING ON GRASS

Dry laying on gravel or sand enhances patios, courtyards and gardens and outdoor private spaces in general or pedestrian areas in commercial or leisure applications.

This maintains drainage to the ground via the joint, enabling water run-off into the substrate.

Traditional laying on screed with adhesive is mainly used in outdoor paved areas for vehicles and pedestrians, such as access areas to garages, car parks both in residential and industrial/commercial areas.

It enables uniform surfaces between pedestrian and road surfaces.

INSTALLATION ON A SCREED WITH ADHESIVE. Joint between tiles 5 mm for non-rectified sizes and 3 mm for the rectified.

LAYING ON SCREEDWITH ADHESIVE

Outdoor laying on raised flooring uses the traditional systems for elevated floors.

Thanks to the fixed and adjustable supports, this material solves the problem of uneven terrain, while ensuring insulation and drainage, and can be used to conceal cables and pipelines, as the slabs are easily removed when required.*

OUTDOOR LAYINGON RAISED FLOORING

*The only current applicable standard for raised flooring refers to use inside buildings. Therefore we recommend carefully evaluating the design requirements, applying where necessary a glass fiber mesh or steel sheet when laying floors at a height above 10CM.
