New Kent Freedom Pass (KFP) applicationsKent Freedom Passes will be sent to school for collection by the named pupil and between October and May will typically beprocessed within fifteen working days. Between June and October, alternative timescales apply as advertised on the KFP website.New Year 7 pupils will not be issued with a KFP until the pupil is attending secondary school.

RenewalsRenewed passes will be sent to the school and will be exchanged for expired passes. Your renewal application must be received before the specified date for your new pass to be available from school in the first week of term. You do not need to include another photograph.

Kent County Council will not be liable for any costs associated with submitting an application or for any expense incurred whilst awaiting receipt of your pass. If you have not received the KFP within 28 working days of your application, please contact us.

Lost, stolen or damaged passesWhere the pass has been lost, stolen or damaged, a replacement pass will be issued subject to the current replacement fee. Should the replacement pass be lost, stolen or damaged, two further replacements will be issued upon payment of the replacementfee. Thereafter you may make a new application at our discretion and the appropriate application fee will apply.

Pupils with Home to School travel passesPupils who hold free home to school travel passes (except rail) must exchange their current pass at school when they collect their new KFP. In order that the pupil may continue with their current travel arrangements, we will print details of this entitlement on their KFP and this will be accepted on their current service.

PaymentPlease enclose a cheque or postal order made out to Kent County Council for the appropriate application fee. Please do not send cash by post.
