Director’s Corner… Welcome to March! It has been a chilly and rainy winter, but we are
hopeful that we have some beautiful spring weather headed our
way! If you have plans to be away during Spring Break, please stop by
the front office for an Absentee Credit form. We offer each child five
weeks of Absentee Credits each year (for children who attend full-
time and are at least 13 months of age) to be used for a 40% discount
off of their weekly tuition. Please keep in mind that any families not on Tuition Express for automatic payment withdrawal will be required to
pay the discounted tuition amount at the time that the Absentee
Credit form is submitted. For those APK and School-Age children who
will be joining us for Spring Break, we are looking forward to a week full
of visitors and special activities. Feel free to stop by the office for a full
list of all we have planned!
With the Spring season here, we are excited for some of our favorite
annual events! Be on the lookout for more information about our East-
er Egg Hunts that will take place towards the end of the month. Each
classroom will have their own time slot, and we will be in communica-
tion about the date and time that your child will be hunting! Addition-
ally, as all of us in San Antonio know, springtime also means FIESTA
time! We will be sending out information later this month about our
Float Parade, which is scheduled for April. It is a fabulous city tradition
that our school has adopted as well and it has become one of our fa-
vorites!
One of the best part about the month of March is the chance to cele-
brate Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Of course it is impossible to celebrate his
birthday without also taking time to enjoy so many of his books,
rhymes, and silly spirit. Our children love having the chance to dress up in character and create their own stories that mirror those of Dr.
Seuss. If you have any costumes, shirts, or hats that your child would
like to wear during this special time, we would love to see it. Addition-
ally, all of our time celebrating Dr. Seuss reminds us of the wonder of
books. We have such an appreciation for early literacy, and one of
the ways that children come to love reading is by sharing it by those
they love most. If you are interested in being a Guest Reader in your
child’s classroom, feel free to touch base with their teacher to coordi-
nate a time that works well. We absolutely love having parents share
in our fun each day and reading a book is a wonderful way to do
that!

After Schoolers
We will be studying the different
countries of the world. We will
have people from different lands to
share various traditions and inter-esting facts about the land that
they call home. We have many slots
still open for any parents who
would like to share their own cul-
ture and customs. We would love to hear you share your story. It should
be so fun and informative! We
would like to welcome Aubreanna
and Evelyn to our class.
-Mrs. Kelly
Congratulations…
Please join us in offering a huge kudos to Ms. Andrea for being our Teacher of the Month for March. Ms. An-
drea has rejoined our team and has made such an im-mediate, and positive impact in Room 10 with our APK
students. Ms. Andrea has an abundance of energy and is
always finding new ways to help the children stay en-gaged. She is incredibly patient and can often be found
offering reassuring words to help boost her student’s self-confidence. Any visit into Room 10 will find Ms. An-
drea giving lots of hugs and hear the sound of endless laughter. We are so thankful to have Ms. Andrea on our
team and congratulate her on a job well done!
