Starting the Program
• A Doors shortcut icon is on the computer desktop
• Double-click the icon to start Doors

Logging On
• You must Logon to perform program operations
• Each operator should have a unique User Name and Password

Default User Name and Password
• The default User Name is “Keri”• The default Password is “Keri”• Passwords are case-sensitive• Enter the User Name and Password, then click OK

Initial Network Update Window
• Informs you that first time communication between Doors and controller network needs to be made
• Future appearances alert you to database changes that need to be uploaded to the controller network

• The Help > About pull-down menu option displays:– The Doors software
revision number– The name of the
currently logged Operator

“Grayed Out” Menu Options
• If a menu option is grayed out:– The user does not have access rights to this feature– This feature has not been enabled– This feature window is already open

• Click the button to show the next open window
• Other windows are set behind the open window

• Click the button to open the Online Help window
• The complete Doors Users Guide is displayed in a hypertext, searchable format

Logging Off
• Log off of Doors when you have completed your work– Prevents unauthorized
people from performing Doors tasks
– Ensures system security
