Wendy Samson was paying attention over 20 years ago when she launched FutureSYNC International on April Fools Day. Although many doubted her plan, Wendy turned her focus and energy toward creating one of the most successful consulting businesses in the Pacific Northwest with clients located in all parts of the United States. Highly respected and accomplished as a Leadership Development Consultant and Executive Coach, Wendy Samson is a strategic, visionary thinker. She has a passion for inspiring people — at all levels — to optimize their full potential, while maintaining a focus on accomplishing everything with graciousness. Wendy’s presentation style is often humorous and always engaging. Participants in Wendy’s sessions leave ready to grow personally and professionally. They confidently know that they will succeed if they follow the lessons presented and do the “thought work” after.

Among Wendy’s many successes include the development and implementation of the Physician Leadership Program in partnership with the Montana Medical Association. When physicians and healthcare leaders across Montana voiced a need for the development of a program to build leadership capacity among physicians, the Montana Medical Association reached out to FutureSYNC International and Wendy Samson to develop the core curriculum. The response has been overwhelmingly positive from physicians who have previously attended, as well as those currently enrolled.

When you think of the “frontier work ethic” it conjures up images of resiliency, common sense, authenticity, ingenuity, sweat equity, and integrity. These are the qualities Curt brings to FutureSYNC International as a Master Facilitator and Leadership Coach. With broad, real-world experience and pragmatic, problem-solving approaches, Curt specializes in seeking first to understand your organization, then develops and delivers customized, engaging, practical interventions that drive meaningful business outcomes.

During his diverse twenty (20)+ year professional career, Curt has repeatedly demonstrated his abilities to get results, lead teams and grow employees. He has successfully implemented leadership and succession programs in multiple organizations, from concept to successful implementation. Curt has effectively led teams and entire departments. He has provided leadership coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and team development to many groups and organizations. As a dynamic trainer, experienced facilitator, sought-after coach, and a proven leader, Curt brings an authentic, effective and credible approach to every engagement.

Born and raised on the hi-line of Montana, Curt grew up understanding the importance of business results. In fact, he was dependent on them. As small business owners, his parents taught him the value of hard work and smart business decisions early on. Curt worked his way through high school and college and graduated from the University of Montana with a dual major in Psychology and Sociology. After ten (10) years as an employee in the criminal justice system, Curt discovered a fascination for teaching others and for systems improvement. He has spent the last 13 years in the field of organizational development, leading and cultivating his passion for exposing and developing the potential in people and organizations. Curt is a certified Professional in Human Resources, Master Facilitator, certified DiSC trainer, and Instructional Development expert.

Curt and his wife, Ann (a Helena native and school teacher) have five children, ranging in ages from grade school to college. They are very proud to call Montana home and enjoy playing in the outdoors and chasing their kids around the state, watching their activities.

Rural Health Team Leadership Effectiveness Program Goals

The overall goal of this project will be to support critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Montana with a team-based program that can build and enhance leadership skills in a health care organization, empowering them to lead the organization through change and to shape a future that ensures enduing, high quality, accessible health care for their community.

Effective leadership is critically needed in the current environment of transitioning to value-based care. The Rural Health Team Leadership Effectiveness Program will provide training for Montana CAH staff, medical staff and hospital board trustees as a team, based around core competencies, skills and abilities indicated as important for transformational leadership.
