• Trainings should relate to input use– Seed treatment– Varietal selection– Weed management– Fertilizer management– Pesticide spray equipments and application technology– Pest management including insects and diseases
• Training on these aspects should be crop wise– Rice, wheat, and maize
• Training should be organized twice in a season– Before onset of season: on first 5 aspects– During season: pest management
• Literature– 1 pager/crop on above mentioned aspects in local language– Monthly message on key management practices of that month
through SMS/email/web (common message developed by KVK’s, SAU, and CSISA etc.)
• Field exposure to show the performance of best bet crop management practices through travelling seminar
• Yearly trainings on latest update with respect to machineries/technology/inputs/crop management etc
