CAP’s Financial Initiatives

• Received the organization’s ninth unmodified audit

opinion on the FY16 audit

• Throughout the past three years there has been an

unprecedented focus on eliminating the financial burden

of CAP membership. Various initiatives across all

programs include:

o Reducing the cost of cadet flight activities

o Providing credit cards in all CAP vehicles to pay

for maintenance

o Providing a subsidy to members who attend

National Staff College, NLOC, and NSOC

o Providing proficiency funds to pilots

Shell Mission Credit Cards

CAP implemented use of national Shell credit

cards to fund mission fuel

Out of pocket fuel costs are no longer paid by

members or wings

Process has eliminated duplication of effort

CAP requested a separate audit of the process
