Snow bird Marti, was down in Mexico in a quaint hotel escaping the harsh Minnesota winter. PRO ADVICE

STEP 1 – Prepare the Ingredients/Materials.

• 2 Tablespoons of charcoal powder• 1/4 cup of water• 2 Tablespoons of ground flax seed• Paper Towel / Cloth• Plastic / Food Wrap• Bandage wrap or strips of cloth and safety pin

Add charcoal to water and mix. Add 2 Tablespoons of ground flax seed. You want the mixture moist, like a wet glue, but not watery and not stiff.

STEP 2 – Take a 12 x 12 inch paper towel. Lay flat on the count-er. Spread mixture out from the middle of the paper towel, leav-ing at least an inch on all sides.

STEP 3 – Fold in all four sides to create a bandage/poultice. Taking care to only have one layer of paper towel between the skin of the treatment area and the charcoal mixture.

STEP 4 – Position poultice over the area needed.

STEP 5 – Cover the poultice with plastic (when available, plastic food wrap works fine) cut to overlap the poultice by an inch on every side . This will keep it moist and also protect from leakage.

STEP 6 – Finish off by bandaging or taping the poultice securely in place. Change the poultice at least every eight hours. Note: Poultices of any kind only work if there is continuous moist contact with the skin.

Vet Dtox™ is a 100% activated charcoal powder and complies with the US Food Chemical Codex. Its source and specifi-cations match very closely to Veterinair® - usedextensively (and exclusively) in Europe in animal feeds as anantidote for poisoning and to control diarrhea - e.g. as a result of food poisoning.
