Dear friends,

Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It has been a privilege to serve our Lord with all the saints at First UMC Edna the last four years. I am grateful for the four years we’ve had together, and I am grateful for the blessing this church has been to me, my family, and to the work of the kingdom of God in Edna.

There are many memories I will cherish in Edna – even memories such as lightning strikes, hurricanes, and building projects. I pray I have pastored faithfully to the message of Jesus Christ, which is the Good News of salvation available to all by God’s grace through faith in his Son and the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit. I know I have improved as a pastor because of my time in Edna, and I pray you will continue to be blessed.

We have laughed together, cried together, worked together and fought together; through it all, we have grown together. In Edna, I have experienced my first steeple repair, my first building project, the birth of my second daughter, my first hurricane, my second insurance-related building project, my first new building project, and my first parsonage. I am grateful for all these experiences. I love you more than I can express and I am blessed to have known you all. I am grateful for the itinerancy which brought me to FUMC Edna and I trust in the work of the Holy Spirit to continue to lead us all in the sanctifying work of his kingdom as we move on.

Now, you will have the opportunity to love a new pastor. I pray for you during this time of transition and ask that you pray for me and for Pastor Kelli Williamson as she prepares to arrive. In all things, remember the love of God which you have received and are expected to share, be faithful to the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and be obedient to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

I leave you with these words of the Apostle Paul, “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” I pray the love of God, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit will be with you all, now and forever. Amen.

LCS is currently accepting enrollment for the

2018-2019 school year. The Fall semester will

begin on 9/4/18. Class hours are Tues. &

Thurs. from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.

This year we are opening enrollment to 18

month old's up to 4 year old's. *18m up to 3

yrs. will NOT be required to be potty trained.*

Registration forms may be picked up and

returned to the church office secretary, Rachel

Fuller, during office hours.

Place Cherries and Lime wedge in the bottom of glass. Add ice and
